Putting Golovkin's name in the same sentence with Mayweather is an insult to boxing

Garcia, Alexander, Khan, Garcia, Bradley, Marquez, Martinez and Pacquiao have all done more to deserve a Floyd fight than GGG.

The only thing that GGG has done to deserve this fight is give a small group of fans a mythical perception that he is the savior that can give Floyd a 1 in the L column.

my point is clearly that GGG still has to prove himself so the demand to move up is different than floyd who is just too good for 147-154. do you understand?
ok let me put it this way. here you have a 31 year old guy who has a pretty poor resume. he wants to retire in 5 years & you want him to spend that time cleaning out a crappy division? i just want to see the guy in there with a quality opponent.........he's not gonna get that with macklin, he's not gonna get that with barker. and if everyone is ducking him (in this weak division) move up..........simple.

I'm waiting for the poster who will just admit that they think a bigger guy with one puch KO power has the best chance to get lucky.

Remember guys floyd has fought most of his life against opponents with more power. Maybe its time to learn more about other facets of the sport to unerstand how you deal with what floyd brings to the table.
These goofy posters must not have seen the chessmatch Judah gave Mayweather in their fight before he started fading. It's going to take a thinker, somebody who's just as fast as Mayweather mentally.

No way in the world this highly skilled boxer should have taken the leather he took against Rosado. For anyone saying GGG can box, he hasn't proved it once. Being able to box means being in there with somebody who can laugh at the punches you land and keep coming forward. I've yet to see GGG get on his bike, pick his spots, effectively counter-punch, and win a fight from the outside over the course of 12 rounds.

GGG would get out boxed by Mayweather. Floyd would make it look easy.
            Too damn slow for Floyd.

Why do people keep saying GGG is this killer when he hasn't fought anybody worth talking about.
It didn't take me but 1 minute into rd1 against macklin to let me know that he can't beat Floyd.

If Macklin's movement gave him problems....what do you think Floyd would do?

Looks like all the clowns who pumped up Matthysse have found another bandwagon to jump on. GGG is a solid fighter he's just not on the same level as Floyd and in quite frankly his name shouldn't even be mentioned in the same sentence as Floyd's.

How do you think GGG went 345-5 in the amateurs then? Do you really think he can't pick his spots? Didn't Rosado only land like 20% of his punches against Golovkin, while Golovkin landed around 50% of his? It also does look like Golovkin was sick in the immediate run-up to that fight, so we may want to take that into account. He still won handily regardless of that though.

I agree that Golovkin doesn't have the most impressive pro career yet, but I think that is in large part due to a lack of opportunity. I may be wrong, but I think he will prove his worth in the coming years.

I don't recall Macklin's movement giving him issues or at least anything that could be considered a significant problem.

And this where the arugument ends. GGG has done NOTHING to get this fight. Hes accomplished nothing in the sport and hes fought NO ONE.
