Putting Golovkin's name in the same sentence with Mayweather is an insult to boxing

It's plain to see that Floyd is a natural welterweight, and he should not have to compromise himself by going up against much larger foes. The majority of fighters who point that moved up successfully, with a few exceptions like Manny, all appeared to be outgrowing their weight class and it was in their best interest. Look, I'm not trying to sound like some overprotective Floyd fan, I'm just looking at it from a realistic standpoint. If GGG feels he can't get fights at 160, then he needs to move up where all the top guys would be more than willing to challenge him. He's well suited for 168, Floyd can't even eat himself up to 154 the day of the fight! Also, I feel as though GGG hasn't really campaigned for a Martinez fight like he should be doing. If the rumors about GGG VS Chavez are true, than that will be his opportunity to defeat Jr and put himself in line for a Martinez clash.

The guys fought like one ranked middleweight and a load of petrified scrubs who should probably look at doing something else for a living. Its okay though he **** out medals in the amateurs!

with all due respect, tim has shown you more than GGG. GGG just has the size and one punch power. I find it hard to believe in fights with proska, ishida, rosado and whomever else that you have seen him show you something, other than power, that makes you think he beats floyd. if bradley is only good, given his record and how he acheived it, what is ggg, average?

Like I said, lets stop trying to pretend this is a logical discussion. GGG has size and power and most posters think that is what wins fights so they think its why ggg beats floyd.

this is the logic gbp used to sell the canelo fight to the masses.

GGG hasn't been given the same opportunities as Bradley yet, but I do think his fantastic amateur career as well as respectable pro career thus far gives you an idea of what he is capable of.

I certainly think GGG's power and size advantage is one of the main reasons he would have a chance of beating Floyd, but I also think his ability to time his opponents and place his shots well would also play a part if he won.

Bradley isn't really blessed with a size advantage or great power, so I don't see him posing much of a challenge. It isn't just because of that, but also because Floyd is a superior boxer.

They fight on HBO and why would they all not want to maximize the fight's earning power? He also isn't chasing Ward because he still wants to unify the MW division, which is proving difficult to do given the HBO/Showtime dispute as well as the other top guys not seeming to have a strong desire to fight him.

I would favor Ward against GGG and I would like to see it in the next few years.

thats your opinion...........but why get mad when some of us want to see ggg at 168 because it's leap in quality opponents? (thats only one weight class above 160. ONE) ggg himself said that he only has 5 years left......would you like to see him spend that 5 years trying to clean out a weak division or move up and face fighters like kessler, froch? hell even bika would be good to watch...........if fighters have always moved up in weight whats the problem with one weight jump?

im not getting mad at GGG potentially moving up...this is all your imaginiation and a way to change the subject.

my point is clearly that GGG still has to prove himself so the demand to move up is different than floyd who is just too good for 147-154. do you understand?
