James may have made mistakes while out of the gym but in the gym the guy was simply amazing.

No one made pro fighting like sam in 70s,the average amateur was way more advanced,only crazy idiots gave sam a chance

in no way does he look like he can last 1 min clearly people here don't watch full matches

Tone in very early matches at lhw way more advanced than the whole class sam fought in, so agian why have crazy people said sam would win he never fought anybody as advanced as this guy tone fought

We barely get to see much of langford to assess styles, but my money would be on him to beat Toney and likely badly.

havenā€™t been able to study him much though, I did gather he had this punching technique that allowed him to jab and hook off the jab with varying degrees some would say they couldnā€™t tell if he was hooking or jabbing them. Havenā€™t been able to see it though.

Thats because in Sams era you are allowed to grapple. And this changes everything. Boxing was much more like fighting back then so Langfords style is likely gonna **** up most modern styles. If he isnt allowed to fight his way though, it obviously will make things more complicated.

Jones Jnr had more natural physical ability.whereasToney had more real boxing skills ,imo,but as a pro lacked the mental discipline,similar to Bowe.

No he wasn't the lineal heavyweight champion. That was not his fault was Jack Johnson who had offers to fight Langford never did.

Langford was however the heavyweight champion of Mexico. I think France also made Langford their heavyweight champion the they stripped Johnson for not fighting him or Jeanette.

He was offered to fight Langford in France too. He had contacts to fight Langford before. But did not or pulled out of them. Why is it the Johnson never fought Langford, Jeannette or McVey as mature fighters EVER? He certainly had the opportunities! In some cases he waited but never did he take the fight when the money was there. Johnson waited until the promoter gave up on promoting the fight or his legal troubles prevented him from fighting in a certain area. No problem Mr. Ducker , simply move the fight.
