Yes, people should have the right to own a fire arm, but the fact is that the United States gun control system is a complete ****ing joke.

I don't know what people don't understand about this: When an idiot pulls a gun on you, it'd be in your best interest not to bring another one involved. All it does is create more conflict.

Unless you are confronted by a complete lunatic on a shooting rampage, there is very little gained by carrying a gun and a lot more lost by just adding unnecessary complexity to everyday situations. I'll take my chances on the gun crazed lunatic.

Some of us also target shoot {I haven't hunted deer in 10 years} and I have yet to kill a human being. But, won't hesitate to kill, if either my family or me are in danger.

Guns and American culture are integrated via the Constitution and it will never change. Especially when some have a very real fear of civil uprising.

That fear coupled with the statements in the Constitution - give law makers committed to changing gun ownership laws, a difficult task. In America, it is not uncommon to find some groups of civilians better armed than the Police.

i just bought my gun last friday and can finally go pick it up tomorrow

hopefully, provided the state police got off their lazy asses and cleared the gun shop to release it to me...

i dont hunt, as a kid though we used to shoot clays with *******s which was VERY entertaining...

now im getting a glock to shoot at local ranges for hobby

Why is there such a fear of a civil uprising? I guess Katrina?

I want a gun to protect my family too, but a sword is the best I can do. Hand guns are banned here now since a man killed lots of kids in a school with a legal, registered gun.

To get a ******* I need to provide why (Good reason) and have it locked in a cabinet. Not even sure how hard a rifle is to get.

Even if they did ban them TS, ppl seemed to kill each other just fine before they were invented.

Even if you were able to ban all guns even from criminals and everyone who wasn't military or law enforcement now everyone will just uses knives and other types of blades as the primary weapon to defend their families, the those would get banned and we would finally just get to a point where the country was debating whether sporks were too dangerous.

Besides if I couldn't have a gun then the king of England could just walk right in my house and start pushing me around, its the reason we have the right to bear arms in the 1st place.
