that's because there's few guns in the u.k.

it's less available in the u.k. doesn't mean u.k. is safer.

that's like comparing the car accident death rate of los angeles (where everyone has a car) to new york (where everyone uses public transportation)

death rate per 1,000 by u.n.

    u.k. - 9.9 , u.s. - 8.2

death rate per 1,000 by c.i.a.

    u.k. 10.02 , u.s. 8.38

imagine that. a higher death rate even without guns.

i came in the other day and just called the brits a bunch of *******.

        that's about it.

i saw those crap stats though.

hello of course u.s. will have a higher gun murder rate and gun suicide rate.

the brits don't have access to firearms for the most part.

look at "serious" assault rates though.

u.k. rate is much higher than the u.s.

the reason being that attacks with knives and other deadly weapons generally are classified as assaults while those involving guns are classified as murders or attempted murders.

Is there any statistics kept on how many people are on pharmaceutical drugs in each country?

Which country is more heavily medicated?

                Why would they?

People got a right to keep some heat in the house in case they need it.

When somebody breaks into your house packin heat, fists won't cut it.

From the time I call 911 to the time the law pulls into my driveway is 20-30 minutes at least. I'm supposed to do what while I'm waiting? Beat the man to death with my phone???
