Yes he did but look at the situation he was in. They pulled a gun on him randomly at a public place. They could've shot him right there and then, he had no chance to pull his gun even if it was on him. All he could hope is that they not shoot him.

Which furter strengthens my point that having/owning a gun during random encounters like that is useless. It can happen to you once in your life and you're never gonna be ready or prepared for it.

As far as having a gun at your home to scare burglers off, OK point taken. But only if you're aware that in your area, home invasions are happening often. Otherwise you're holding a weapons for the purpose of something that may never happen, meanwhile who knows what that gun can do be used for domestically by you or one of your family members.

i never carry a gun on me.

mostly because carrying a loaded weapon in a vehicle is illegal in MS.

even a loaded clip sitting beside the weapon.

the only reason i have a pistol(which i recently obtained) is for home protection.

the only other weapons i own are for hunting(rifles, *******s, etc)

all of which are in my gun case that is locked in my room.

if i hear someone break into my house it takes me all of 5 seconds to get it unlocked.

        its called responsible gun ownership

if guns were banned that number would double.

          different cultures demand different rules.

Do you have those same statistics on ALL deaths? Im seriously curious, are there less deaths or are people just resorting to other ways of killing others and themselves?

Still a stretch, a person walks into a crowded area with a knife and stabs a few people, the others around him/her can then run or defend themsleves, you can't run or defend yourself from a gun. You would have to be a ninja assassin to kill 20-30 people with a knife.....lol

You could run people over with a car but once you do that's it. Plus, it's easier to get out of the way of a vehicle than it is a bullet.

You wouldn't believe the guns that go off from Mexico on New Years Eve, but like I said, that's near the border.

And I'm sure you stayed out of the seedy areas of Mexico City. I haven't been there myself, but I would imagine there are places you wouldn't want to walk the streets at night, with millions in poverty.
Seriously, I travel to Mexico at least once a year and I can tell you, it's not as bad as the media makes it out to be. Granted if you live on the border, a place like Juarez it's not where you want to be. Places that are more for tourists or even Mexico City are very safe and you won't even notice the violence in the country unless of course you pick up a paper and read about it.

Mexico City can be a very dangerous place, it was that way even before all this was going on. Any city with over 20 million people can get crazy...

                      I really want a gun.

It's hard to get one in the UK though.

I wish that I had one,, but I also know that I'm a very badly tempered guy and would go to prison for murder in self defence. Maybe a payback murder.

America has too many guns. You guys should breed ****s and fight each other and see who is the best
