Rusty... I mean that is the kind of statement where we would have to go down a list and look at each fighter. Some were better than others... some were hype. Here is where it gets complicated to me: Heres a name..."Michael Grant" heres another name "Oliver McCall."

Now lets look at the world through the eyes of Lewis. When lewis agreed to fight Grant, and not fight his mandatory, who was JOhn Ruiz, known as the "Quiet Man" but should have been known as the only heavyweight in history with a manager who threw more punches than he did..hence the name should have been the quiet, no punching man... I digress...

When Lewis took the fight with Grant it was a ballsy move because most people were convinced that Grant was a dangerous fighter. Lewis proved them wrong. On the whole I would say Grant would go in the right column stating fighters who were marketed. people often describe an outing Grant had before the Lewis fight as less than stellar, yada yada yada...But many people, including some of the pundits thought Grant was going to crush Lewis.

McCall, on the other hand was not touted as much danger, when in fact McCall was legitimately a very dangerous fighter. People in the gyms where McCall trained knew this... McCall was similar to a fighter like Salidad... a guy who lost a lot, but when they were on they were on.

Did many legitimate boxing ppl really think Grant would crush Lewis?

I dont remember that, yeah he was regarded well but in the UK at least he was a good contender but just a build up for the long awaited tyson v Lewis.

I get that. However, that is just one victory.

However, I must strongly disagree with that assertion because by the time Fury defeated Wlad he was already fading and was on the decline. Also, he had more than three defeats on his resume too; All by way of knockout.

On the other hand, Andre Ward has victories over Carl Froch, Sergey Kovalev, Mikkel Kessler and Chad Dawson on his resume. All of them were champions at some point.

Moreover, Dre won the Super Six tournament and was a two-time and two weight divisional champion.

I'm probably the biggest Kessler fan on this Forum (I'm half Danish) and he used to live next door to me, but he isn't going in the HOF and for sure neither are the others.

Nonsense. I can guarantee that all 4 that I mentioned go. We can revisit this when they get voted in if u like. Froch and Kessler are absolute guarantees.

And even then, we both know all four are multi time world champs and were great fighters. Certainly better wins than than two title fight win Fury when considering their body of work.
