I really don't understand the hate for this fight,Merchant is right Mosley would kill JMM and square up Berto imo..Pac is fighting his best and most challenging fight for the 147lb weight class..

TBH I have always wanted to see Mosley vs Pacquiao, but the timing is wrong.

In a dream world I would want Pacquiao v Mayweather ASAP or if they are gonna have a warm up fight prior I wouldn't mind Pac or May vs Berto or something and the other of them fighting another contender, while Mosley tries to actually get a win on his resume after a winless year and JMM has a fight at 140 vs a contender to test those waters. Then after May and Pac finally face off they either rematch or Pacquiao fights Mosley or JMM.

As for Merchant he's always on Pac's jock. Kellerman is the only one that would question this fight on TV or POSSIBLY Lampley. Shane deserves respect, but I'm sorry he needs to bounce back with a win before he gets Pacquiao...its like Margarito all over again, the guy was suspended and gets rewarded by fighting Manny?

I always laugh because the one thing that's constant in this Mayweather vs Pac debacle, other than Mayweather's request (full Ost for both fighters) is how inadvertently they bestowed greatness upon Mayweather in trying to justify Pacquaio's fights.

I agree that he could make JWW, but I dont give JMM much of a chance there either, honestly. I've seen JMM take a lot of clean punches in his last 3/4 fights and I think Pac probably puts him away even at 140. I agree that the catchweight for Cottos belt is a total bullshit move, but the DLH fight was a huge risk at the time and everybody except for the Pac fans had DLH walking through him. I actually do think he had very little to choose from and that Berto should have been the clear choice. It would be hypocritical of me to say he should fight JMM at 140 because he CAN make the weight and also demand he fight Martinez at 154 which is a weight he CANT make. I dont see the defense for Floyd in this discussion either, we're talking about JMM and Mosley being terrible options for a 147lb fight when those are the fights Floyd himself has chosen just this past year. Pac is definitely cherrypicking with his fight selections, but not any worse than what Floyd himself has done.

Floyd did not pick Mosley, the media, team Pac, and *******s choose Mosley for Floyd. Floyd kept saying Mosley is washed-up with 5 losses and everyone claimed he was afraid and ducking Mosley, because he saw what Mosley did to Margarito. Stop being bias with this selective memory or convenient amnesia stuff-whatever you want to call it.
