Comments Thread For: Merchant: Mosley The Most Dangerous Choice For Pacquiao

HBO's expert analyst Larry Merchant considers "Sugar" Shane Mosley as the most dangerous opponent among the three choices presented to Manny Pacquiao. The Filipino champion finalized a deal earlier this week to face Mosley on May 7 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Merchant says Marquez is the most profitable opponent, but Mosley is the most dangerous.

wow with Pac "selecting" to fight this "too good" and "dangerous" Mosley, EVERYONE's damned near saying Mayweather beat an ATG May 1st 2010.

We can't have that now can we? lol

Dangerous how? Larry Merchant, HBO Ringside announcer. HBO is currently in the bid to broadcast the fight. Of course he's going to SELL this garbage card so that HBO can get PPV buys.

But even with that being said, off up some analysis instead of one liners Merchant. It's not like you're busy. lol

What do you expect from Larry "*******ious" Merchant? Dangerous choice, my frickin' ass. He was rooting for Marquez to win the Manny sweepstakes and like a good ******* he loves the choice that Manny makes.

This 'Manny is still fighting bigger guys' is total crap....... if thats the case, go back to 140 where there is more talent. other than Floyd and maybe Berto.... 147 is deprived of any real good fights....

After the May/Mosley fight this old dude said he wasn't impressed because he expected a beating to an "old Mosley", but now its a dangerous fight for Pacquiao????

This guy is either a *******, a hypocrite, incredibly ****** or maybe Mayweather is that great

Let's take a full fledge WW in Mosley, match him against a Lightweight who got shut out in his only fight at WW, Marquez, and pit them against each other at 147.

Mosley would wipe the floor against the slow, fat, and ineffective Marquez.
Mosley has been hit by bigger and harder punchers than Marquez, Mosley would laugh at Marquez's power.

Marquez has no business at WW, he showed that with his fight against Mayweather.

How much more legs do the Pacwh*res such as Merchant think this, "Pacquaio is fighting bigger guys" crap has? I mean seriously, according to the Pacwh*re nation he can't meet JMM at a 140 catchweight and even if he fought him, its a bull**** fight because he's too big. Everywhere except on Pacland that translates into him being a legitimate welterweight. Unless they view one of those divisions between 140 and 147 that Pac loves to fight at a legitimate division. Then, I fully understand where they're coming from.

Pacquiao is simply cleaning up the welterweight division

Guys, you have to be patient. Pacquiao is simply cleaning up the welterweight division. After Mosley, Berto will be next if Mayweather is still not available. Berto, on the otherhand, needs to widen his fanbase.

Marquez is a good retirement fight for Pacquiao. It's a nice fight to finish off his career. But at the moment, he's not retiring yet.
