Marquez and Berto would've been much more dangerous opponents for Pacquiao. Marquez arguably beat Pacquiao already and Berto is a prime, fast-handed fighter with decent pop in his punches.

    Mosley is just shot.
Top Rank/Bob Arum, Pac and Roach know this. They're fighting a "name" that sells or at least that's there excuse there using to justify this fight. That and Mosley being dangerous early because he hit Floyd just twice in a 12 round fight. Its "marketability". They didn't want anything to do with Mosley when he was "too good" in fact they contrarily said Mosley wouldn't sell vs Floyd Mayweather. Yet now they "select" Mosley because it will sell? Hypocrites. Pac vs JMM would sell more than the other two by far, due to it being cinco de mayo weekend and the (bad) history of the two. They cant even lie right.......

Mayweather vs Mosley did more than Pac vs Clottey, Pac vs Margarito and will do more than Pac vs Mosley. Do the math, who's the bigger draw?

They don't want anything to do with a undefeated WW Champion in Berto, let alone the guy that took Pac to hell twice. It is VERY clear they never intended to get in the ring with a fighter like Floyd Mayweather when they wont even get into the ring with a live opponent who's not shot..... Clottey, Margarito and Mosley all have a few things in common. Comming of losses, havent won a fight in a few years and where either shot, cheaters, or never has beens, yet they where "selected" for pac to fight...

Bob has an agenda and certain fighters on not on that agenda no matter who comes back or what happens.

      How 'bout this?

Merchant: Pacquiao The Most Dangerous Choice For Mosely. I think that settles it.

Everybody doesn't want the Pacquiao-Mosely match-up. But they'll show up on fight night just the same. Because first, they'll want to see Pacquiao fight. And second, they could'nt bear the thought of Mosely getting beat up like never before but they'll be there to watch it happen anyway.

it would be a different story if jmm murks khan, maidana, bradley, or alexander.
Well, you are significantly dumber, for a number of reasons......

1.) Did Pacquiao prove himself at 147 before he fought Hoya?
2.) Did Pacquiao prove himself at 154 before getting a title shot?
3.) Styles make fights, and Marquez proved that he has Pacquiao's number

And here is the real point.....

4.) Your whiney excuse is a joke. Not just for the reasons listed above, but because when that fight was first mentioned, Arum - nor ANYONE else from Team Pacquiao - even mentioned Marquez' "worthiness". All they did was immediately demand 147, they mentioned nothing about Marquez having to "prove himself".

They only switched tack and insisted that Marquez now had to prove himself AFTER JMM agreed to fight at 147.

The point is, forget " worthiness ", because that is a joke.....

          What, Clottey was " worthy " ?

          The point is.....
Manny is a natural JWW and can easily make 140 according to Ariza/Roach..... so IF that fight were to go ahead, how can you possibly state that 147 is too high for Marquez, and then defend the 147 DEMAND from Team Pacquiao as anything other than a total cherry-picking b1tch-move?

Are you just another dishonest whiney Pac fan ?

Pac is the WBO Welterweight champion, why at 140? There's no title there buddy. Again if marquez really wants the fight, he shouldn't price himself up.
*** off idiot, what a clown you are ya silly kid.

The thing about Pacquiao is, and I said it in another thread is I don't think he will step up his game after this fight with Mosley is over with. Arum will probably match him up with the winner of the Cotto-Margarito rematch to keep everything in house and Roach and Pacquiao won't raise a stink about it just like they didn't with the Mosley fight.

JMM is fighting Morales and that's bad too and I've criticized him for it. But at least he'll fight a better fight likely whether if it's Khan or he'll probably end up doing Pacquiao's heavy lifting at 140 by fighting the Alexander-Bradley winner like he did Pacquiao's heavy lifting at 135 by cleaning out the division almost.

Bernard Hopkins redeemed his rep somewhat after fighting a shot Roy Jones by going after Pascal when he was the champion and did it in his back yard.

It would be okay for Manny to fight big names that are shot maybe every once in a while. But the problem is he is making a career out of it and that is what everybody including me are complaining about. Not just Floyd fans.

They should have fought berto no doubt, but all this jmm junk is for the birds. Mosley would eat that lil fool alive and I'm supposed to believe jmm would be a better fight then mosley? U gotta be kidding. It aint 2008 no more boys, stop living in the past.

Clotty is a legit welter, jmm is not. Clotty would beat jmm down, jmm doesn't belong in the ring above 135. Mosley would stomp jmm, jmm doesn't belong in the ring above 135. Jmm would last 2 rounds with margacheato, how are u still talking about this guy like he's gonna do something? It's plain as day. Just open ur eyes, you'll see it.

And anyway it doesn't matter, Pac doesn't have to come down to anyone, he's the king, he holds all the keys, just like when pretty boy held the thrown, all roads lead to him. He doesn't chase, he gets chased. Its not really that hard to understand bro I promise. If u just put ur mind to it u can figure out most of this **** dude, it's not above u, u just need to use ur brain.

Pac should have fought berto no doubt about it, but that fight isn't going anywhere. He can wax mosley, then hatton jmm, and nobody will be left but berto and bradley/alex. Right now he's just chillin, puttin money in his pocket waiting for floyd to get his **** together.

The man fights 2 or 3 times a year, u just need to relax. He will get to all these guys. I didn't hear u crying when floyd was stuffing his pockets for almost 5 years at welter and he didn't even come close to cleaning house. Wipe them tears bro. Everyone does it when their on top, pac wants to cash in on all his hard work. Nobody was crying when floyd did it, now all of a sudden every fight has to be a death match or people are *****ing like lil girls. He is gonna have 147 cleaned out by the end of next year. Then what will u cry about?

It amazes me that people still respect what this man says.

Before people start *****ing about the man being in the sport for so many years ( what I'm saying applies to Bert Sugar too), realise that I would actually respect these guys honest opinion. The problem is they have little integrity so they will go with what sells or gains them popularity, I doubt they believe half the crap that spills out their mouth.

In a private conversation I'd very much like to hear their opinions on certain areas of the sport.
