Ever since Terminator 2, Hollywood has released a bunch of Terminator movies, weather its T3 or that pure trash that was Genysis, none of them, event he latest movie Dark Fate felt like it had a spark of originality. The terminators became extremely over powered to the point of being god like, which made it very difficult to believe that the original T800 model stood any chance against them.

I just wish that Hollywood did a Terminator movie in the essence of the first two, in other words a stronger concentration on the plot and storyline, and stayed away from the super crazy god like terminators. Keep it simple, the original T800 was already a stretch of the imagination, no need to go full ******.

Also stop bringing back Arnold! I know he is the face of Terminator and as iconic as that may be, he is now a relic of the past. Talk about beating a dead horse, let him sail away into the sunset and revamp the series with fresh faces, with concentration on the plot over the Boom! Kaboom! Whoosh! Thanos like Terminators.

Whatever it was, it is very relevant today.

Undoubtedly, The Terminator (1984) and Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991) marked a before and after in the world of science fiction and action cinema.
James Cameron’s masterful direction, the dark and oppressive atmosphere of the first film, combined with the spectacle and character development of the second, turned these movies into true gems of the genre. So, why hasn’t Hollywood been able to recapture that essence in the sequels?

One of the main problems is the lack of a clear vision. Cameron had a well-structured narrative with powerful messages about artificial intelligence, humanity, and fate. In contrast, the later sequels seem like mere attempts to exploit a franchise without truly understanding what made it great in the first place. The overuse of digital effects, the excessive reliance on Arnold Schwarzenegger as the T-800, and the lack of truly memorable characters have seriously affected the quality of the new installments. The same happens in other industries, like online ********, where user experience and innovation are key to standing out. Platforms like understand the importance of offering quality and excitement, rather than simply recycling old ideas without a clear vision.

Another key issue is the impact of misused nostalgia. Many films today rely on forced references and nods to the classics without contributing anything new or meaningful. Ultimately, Hollywood’s problem with Terminator isn’t just the absence of Cameron, but the lack of a solid narrative purpose. Instead of unsuccessfully trying to recreate the past, maybe it’s time to let the franchise rest—or, if it’s going to continue, to do so with a true understanding of what made the first two films so special.

Terminator 2 was the one where Arnold’s the good terminator and the “cop” was the bad one, right?

              That one was good.

i liked the newer one with the woman Terminator in the beginning cuz she was n**ked and you can see her arse.

              Always nice.

                  Depends what you like.

T1 had the better story, better music and atmosphere. T2 had better effects and action sequences.

I am a big fan of the movie in general... T1 was good but T2 was just a lot better imo. T2 is still one of my all time fav movies. still watch it every now and then.

As far as I am concerned -

                      Jaws ended after the original.

                      So did Psycho

                      So did Jurassic Park.

                      So did Joker.

                      So did the Omen

                      So did Hellraiser

                      So did Halloween.

                      So did The Exorcist.

Rocky ended after he beat Apollo by 1 second.

                      Terminator 2 was the last.

Aliens was the second and last.

The Last Crusade ended Indiana's story.

I could go on and on.

*h*t sequels that piss all over the originals make me puke.
