I can agree with Wilde or Pep and Walker was a great fighter.

Don't try and play the race card it won't work. I am a white bloke from Hull, Yorkshire.
I have seen your all time list, viewing the distant past through rose-coloured glasses is a fault so many boxing fans have....

Dempsey.
Impressive againt a huge, slow, unskilled and lumbering Willard and then his title reign was a joke. Don't fall for the Nat Fleischer/Bert Sugar bull**** and their nostalgic longing for the Roaring '20s (rife with poverty, disease and death).

With modern nutrition Sonny would be perfect at 225-30.
Prime George was always kept far too light by his trainers anyway.
He should have fought at 235-40.
As for Rocky unless he ended up looking like the Michelin man there is no way he could carry more than 205....Bronson66 likes this.

A prime Williams was formidable for his time but he should never have kept fighting after that cop blew away half of his insides.
In my opinion Marciano is vastly overrated and inspires hero worship amongst his fans similar to Mike Tyson and with similar cognitive dissonance.

Exactly, if Fury had not had so many personal demons there is no way Joshua would ever have won the title.

I actually think prime for prime (without Mafia or Nation of Islam 'influence') it would have been close perhaps about 9 - 6 rounds for Ali.

As many have said in this thread prime Fury had incredible movement and speed for a man of his vast size.
The Tyson of Wlad and Wilder 2 is a head to head nightmare for any heavyweight in history.
People seem to delight in ridiculing him now, but a shot version gave the superb...

It's a prime Sonny Liston without a doubt.
At the time he was seen as an inhuman monster and possibly the greatest heavyweight of all time.Last edited by Anomalocaris; Yesterday, 03:47 PM.
