So did Jurassic Park.

So did Joker.

So did the Omen

So did Hellraiser

So did Halloween.

So did The Exorcist.

Rocky ended after he beat Apollo by 1 second.

Terminator 2 was the last.

Aliens was the second and last.

The Last Crusade ended Indiana's story.

I could go on and on.

*h*t sequels that piss all over the originals make me puke.

Alien for its time was a great movie. Aliens built on that and the sequel was fantastic. Very rare to get a sequel as good or as better than the first one, the newness wears out quick in a sequel or a remake.

The thing is Alien 3 **** all over Aliens because Newt and Hicks were dead from the start, so of all the tension and hope at the end of the second film was utterly destroyed.

Plus Ellen died too.

It was all for nothing.

As far as actually great sequels go.
