I'm usually weary of P4P lists, regardless of which periodical or website is producing them. Ward never defeated elite level fighters IMO. He was a dirty fighter, a boring fighter and got a gift in the first Kovalev fight. What he did to Kessler with his headbutts and elbows was scandalous and he should have been DQ'd in that fight. Dawson drained himself to fight him, and Froch was really his best win. At LHW he never fought Stevenson, Beterbiev, Bivol, Gvozdyk, or even Hopkins. I believe he retired prematurely in order to avoid them.

I also find Fury to be highly overrated. He has good movement and quickness for being such a large man, but on a P4P basis he'd get smashed in lower weight classes against much faster opponents. Wlad was washed up and Wilder was and always will be a hype-job who was finally exposed.

Re-watch Wards fights....he dominated Green,Bika,Kessler,Dawson,Abraham was dominating Froch until he got hurt but still walked away with 8-4 at least.

Ward absolutely ran thru 168...like I said re-watch his fights, it’s a reason GGG never wanted to move up to fight him

Ward cleaned out 168 via triangle theory.

He never won the IBF title, but he beat Froch, then Froch beat Bute and won the IBF belt = triangle clean out by Ward!

Bute not being invited to enter the Super 6 doesn't count as a win for Ward either.

Bute was the undefeated IBF champion and Ring No1 SMW. Ward turned down several offers to fight him for the undisputed SMW crown after the Super 6 ended.
