Ward absolutely ran thru 168...like I said re-watch his fights, it’s a reason GGG never wanted to move up to fight him
Not worth watching a whole lot of grappling and whatnot. I think he bullies and mulls GGG to submission with ease though.

As far as my memory serves me he didn’t put masterclasses against those guys. They weren’t a floyd-canelo or fury-wilder II kind of dominations, it’s a bit an overstatement for his wins is all.

Weight drained dawson, yes he dominated that one.

        Interesting question...

Ward was the better fighter but Fury has the better accomplishments IMO.
So, Fury with two title fight wins has accomplished more?

        Okay ……..

He has two title fight wins and one was against a 39 year old shot champ.

          Terrible opinion

Ward class act .... I like men like him.
He said froch hit harder than anyone ..
Was that before or after he got dropped by Kovalev?

Dawson said himself that he wasn’t weight drained, don’t make it into something it wasn’t...Dawson said he made weight easily and he felt good...

Also watch the Abraham fight hell watch the first 5 rounds with Kessler! go watch it, it’s not some grapple fest he was moving hitting switching stances, getting hooks and straights off cleanly and avoiding shots, uk fans hate on Ward like crazy but dude was highly skilled

Absolutely and it's because of the Froch connection. that domination was a hard pill to swallow and it surely hasn't been forgotten.

Bro...why lie man...here is what Dawson said about the weight:

"My honest opinion is it was definitely a set up by HBO and other people too. It was set up for me to come in at 168. I would be vulnerable and they could expose it and he would look good at the same time. That's just my opinion on the whole situation. We could've done it at a catch weight where we both would've been comfortable but they wanted it at 168. They wanted me to come to Oakland. And I know HBO has high hopes for Andre Ward. I know they have high hopes for him and they want to make him this big champion but that's water under the bridge for me."

I actually agree with you that vs Kessler I thought Andre looked pretty good and was ahead comfortably on my card...but he also clinched and headbutted all throughout the fight, with the evidence showing all over Kessler's face.

If that fight was in a neutral venue he is at least getting points off (definitely warnings) and very possibly DQd

I actually think a lot of Ward's fans are UK fans...they seem to revere him in the same way they revere a lot of fighters - as Ward isn't a KO guy, he is considered by many of them to be a real boxer, and I think the UK has a bit of a complex where they favor the 'boxer' vs the 'puncher'...they view themselves as real boxing fans so they seem to prefer the less hard-hitting guy, who generally has to get by on his skills rather than power.

That being said lol...I don't know how anyone could really watch Ward against good fighters, and see a TON of skills...he wasn't that hard to hit really...he had a pretty good jab, but not much power, and wasn't super active himself...you put all that together, and he never really separated a ton in my eyes vs good fighters...just had a lot of close rounds, and often times had close rounds while being allowed to get a little rough.

I notice these guys are from the UK but I do think a lot of Ward fans are from the UK...I would also add that 2 judges had him beating Froch 7-5, in the US...I also had it 7-5, though felt Ward was the only winner in that fight, as he kind of eased up at the end in some rounds and let Froch back in...but hard to say he dominated when he was at home, known for getting great cards in his career, and still won 7-5 on two official cards.
