Edit: and its actually impossible to "go around" Haymon. The managerial contracts that Haymon fighters sign gives Haymon the exclusive right to approve or deny any fights, so how is anyone going to go around him? They cant.
Once again this was AFTER Eddie Hearn couldn't get it done on his own and Eddie does try to go around Haymon he admits it and that is not to say he is wrong because as he always say "They Don't Have Promoters" so it is not like he is "Tampering" with Fighters. He has every right to TRY and go around Haymon and contact fighters direct. The after effect once he fails to Poach fighters is what he has to deal with. After you failed now you're like "OK Lets Do A Proper Meeting With Haymon And Finkle and Make A Proper Offer". So yeah they likely came into the Meeting with already a negative attitude towards DAZN after they tried to overpay to Poach Fighters behind your back

With that being said, if guys are telling you and making it publicly noted who to contact to get sh#t done then out of respect why not just do that instead of sending offers on Instagram DM's

I always agreed with Mayweather GAG ORDER when negotiation fights because stuff that gets said publicly for sure can screw up fight negotiations

yeah Im definitely no fan of negotiating through the media. Makes it alot harder to get fights made, because everyone involved is more worried about looking like they prevailed instead of trying to get the deal done......

If making less money and not fighting AJ next is “paying off? then sure. If he loses to fury, it didn’t pay off at all...if he wins, then he’ll be roughly in the same position with a little less money to show for it.

so you admit haymon is making decisions based on what will hurt or help his network. how is this not a conflict of interest as "manager"

I was thinking the same thing
Funny how when it suits him he’s a manager and then when it doesn’t suit him he becomes a consiglieri

Bit confused by this, wasn't Shelley Finkel & Dibella Wilders promoters, and that is who Hearn was communicating with. Isn't that how it is supposed to happen? Offers and communication go to promoter, promoter notifies fighter/ fighter management (Haymon) of offers and management advises fighter.

Are you saying Hearn should have not communicated with Wilder's promoters as that would be going around Haymon? That makes no sense.

Other then the money what is DAZN good for? Canelo’s gotten rich but he’s lost most of his buzz in America. ESPN Sportscenter used to set up in Vegas the week of his fights. Now they don’t even bring him up.

in wilder's case, it would be good for becoming undisputed champion. aside from that and money...what else is anyone in the sport for?

Wilders made more money than he could ever dream of in his last 2 fights. And his last to KO’s have gone viral.

All this proves is Wilder didn't really want the AJ fight. I thought unifications are more important to fighters than anything else.
