PBC won't help DAZN hurt their business

Hilarious to see this thread try and twist a narrative that can possible paint Haymon/PBC in a good light despite the reality being pretty obvious.
When someone gets sacked for setting up a meeting in which their client gets offered $100M+ for a couple fights, easily more than double what they had made in entire career, I mean come on. To be a fan of a promoter at the expense of the fighters and the viewing public, thats just sad.

PBC have their situation with FOX and Showtime and DAZN is in the business of raising their subs so they're not wrong for trying to add Marketable Americans but unfortunately for DAZN most of them are indeed with Haymon. Yes they tried to go around Haymon and I understand why, Haymon is a very smart man and as the Adviser of fighters it is indeed is job to review contracts for fighters to make sure it is a FAIR DEAL and a Deal in which the fighter is 100% Compensated and not just being USED then ultimately Dumped afterwards
I do think the initial plan as to Poach fighters away with the most money possible and I will be honest I myself is SHOCKED that it has not worked. When that approach didn't work, that is when they (DAZN) tried to come to the table with Haymon and Finkle and yeah Skipper once again thought just a big money offer would do it. The issue is that Al Haymon is never just looking for the "Big Lump Sum" he is always thinking Long Term, Back End, International and all that stuff that fans and even fighters signed to a promoter don't know anything about. Most fighters as well as fans THINK fighters should only get the PURSE that their BOSS decides to give them and shut up and fight.
Mayweather and Haymon Formula was about Maximizing your earning Potential and getting everything that is owed to you because YOU'RE the person people are paying to see not your Promoter! Promoters are NOT suppose to be The Boss of the fighters that is not how that is suppose to work but fighters give up their Power out of IGNORANCE! Fans want fighters to give up their Power out of IGNORANCE on our behalf. Fans also are working people who have Bosses to answer too so in return they kinda want everybody else to have a boss they have to answer to as well and a Boss that can I guess CONTROL these fighters like their Boss Controls them and their work Environment
One thing I will say about PBC, where in the hell are their offers to make these big fights too? They have big networks behind them in FOX and CBS/Showtime so the money is available. Eddie Hearn recently just said Andrade is ready and able to go over to PBC for Jermall Charlo so lets go...PBC need to offer Andrade to make that unification AS WELL AS why not paying to get Crawford to come over for Danny Garcia, Shawn Porter or Ugas while he waits for Spence Jr
So while some fans support only one, apply the pressure on ALL SIDES to step it up and give the fans what they want because right now their sport is rapidly declining. Tickets Sales, Ratings, PPV Buys, Views are down for ALL OF BOXING not just PBC, not just DAZN, not just Top Rank

That’s the saddest bit, they are actually for the promoter than the actual boxer. The same boxer who is a free agent, the same boxer who said “Its not good bye?when he thought he would be allowed to take the 3 fights or 4 fights deal with DAZN.
The OP here is basically saying PBC doesn’t want to work with anyone. And that’s fine by him. A lot of these guys are basically uneducated sheep, I don’t even bother replying to a lot of them.

and no....there was no guarantee AJ would be nexts right now even if he signed it...

if it comes out that haymon is getting offers and not telling the fighters and not getting them equal money or good fights his business is ruined....guys will leave ASAP and theyll never sign a decent prospect....these guys will believe thats happening because they love fantasy....
haymon isnt receiving any offers and keeping them from the fighters....that would be the worst business move in the history of the world.....and haymon isnt that ******....that doesnt breed loyalty it breeds exodus....
but these anti pbc fgts will have you believing haymon is hiding offers for his own personal interests and robbing the fighters....
if haymon were turning fights away and not getting guys similar money or promising to deliver in the future it would spread like wildfire and haymon would be ruined....yet these dummies think one of the most powerful men in boxing would operate that ******ly

What skipper said was that he should have developed the relationships a bit more before trying to jump into that deal. He never once said anything about having tried to go around Haymon or Shelly
Edit: and its actually impossible to "go around" Haymon. The managerial contracts that Haymon fighters sign gives Haymon the exclusive right to approve or deny any fights, so how is anyone going to go around him? They cant.Last edited by OnePunch; 01-29-2020, 07:33 PM.

maybe, maybe not. But he certainly would under the right circumstances. And you have to see the obvious conflict of interest here.
Let me give you a scenario that proves my point. Its not realistic, but you get the idea.
Lets acknowledge that Haymon/PBC have a contract with Fox, with an understanding about Fox having access to top PBC talent. Now lets say that DAZN sends offers to Haymon for Wilder, Tank, and Spence, multi-fight deals, at $100 million per fight. Do you really think there is any scenario where Haymon would entertain that offer? No he wouldnt, because its against the interests of the PBC-Fox deal.
That is a clear conflict of interest. And yes I know DAZN would never offer that much. Real life is a much grayer area, but you get my point.....
