Conor is all but guaranteed to break a million against just about anybody. Ronda, Brock and GSP could all push a million when they were around too. Floyd and Pac carried boxing PPV in the late 2000s through mid 2010s but even then the UFC was a more consistent PPV seller than boxing, it has been since like 06/07. And now Floyd is gone, Pacs drawing power is greatly diminished and Canelo is off traditional PPV.
Top Boxing PPV numbers and Live gates destroy MMA live gates. Always have.
It's not that MMA sucks it's just the meritocracy.

MMA will never have the type level interest that boxing has. It does well for certain people but it'll never surpass boxing... ever...

No sane person would seriously argue that MMA is “unskilled”
Look. I’m not a fan of MMA my any stretch of the imagination. I couldn’t name you 3 active fighters and their weight class. I’ll watch big events because I know some people who throw MMA parties, so I’ll attend to socialize and watch with others. But even I can see the sport is skilled.
As others have said, Brock was a decorated, skilled wrestler. Wrestling is HUGE in MMA. Wrestling is arguably the most important discipline you can have in MMA. Not only that, but Brock is a physical freak of nature. The dude is beyond strong. Just look at his physic. Just based on shear size and strength alone he can probably out muscle and beat most guys.
Not only that, but he was a known PED user. Who knows. He could’ve been juiced up in every UFC match he competed in.
Brock winning a championship the way he did isn’t all too far fetched.

You need not feel threatened that UFC will erase boxing, it’s never happening. They are 2 different sports, you guys just need to stop embarrassing yourselves with all these hot takes about the UFC, it’s desperate and pathetic.
The reality is that UFC does right by the consumer and for that reason it’s popularity will continue to grow. The average UFC fan is way more pleased than the average boxing fan, they get the fights they want.
You can go ahead and tell me about how boxers earn more but I don’t watch combat sports to see who earns more or to see my favourite boxer knock over a no-hoper, I watch to be entertained and that comes with the best fighting the best, that’s what excites me about combat sports.

Thai Boxers have become champions in Boxing. No authentic Muay Thai champion has become a UFC champion.
The second Boxers leave Boxing they fall apart.
No one takes Boxing seriously as a for of combat. SO whatever "skills"they may have, they're useless when rubber hits the road.

There are no Tito Ortiz's, Chuck Liddell's, Spider Silva, etc in their primes in MMA anymore

In boxing, you use only your fists. No elbows, knees or taking your opponent to the ground to bail you out. If you aren't skilled enough with your fists, it's going to be a LONG night. If you are hurt, the referee will give you an 8 count. He will ask you if are ok to continue. If you are not ok, he will stop it.
No comparison. Boxing is much more civilized and is the true gentlemen's sport.Last edited by ReggieKray; 01-07-2020, 12:11 AM.
