If you're saying the UFC fighters are just flat out accepting peanuts as pay compared to what they should be making, then my friend, you have the dumbest group of individuals on the planet...
Amount of buys?? For the last few years especially since Floyd retired UFC PPVs have easily outsold boxing PPV events. The price gap is not even that big. McGregor’s return is $65 and it will definitely do north of 1m buys. The biggest boxing event of the year looks to be the Wilder-Fury rematch and you’d be hard pressed to find someone who thinks it will break 600k.

As for why UFC fighters accept peanuts compared to boxers? You should look up what a monopoly is in business models and get a clue. You think Haymon would be paying guys like Danny Garcia, Charlo, Leo Santa Cruz seven figure pay days if ESPN and DAZN didn’t exist.

You don’t like MMA or have much respect for it but you are severely misinformed about it.

It's an atrocious sport to watch if you value skills. Just awful.

Brock Leaner can go play rasslin for 11 months out of the year then come to the UFC and beat their best. That's how low skilled that sport is. He doesn't even train full time

No it's not. Did you not read the article I posted showing boxing is getting better ratings?

I’ll be watching that one too!

I don’t know if I can call myself a real MMA fan yet but I’m growing more interested in it by the day. The best fight the best and that is unbelievably refreshing as a fan/spectator. Ranked guys constantly fight each other and must do so in order to the climb rankings and earn a title shot.

I don’t care about fighters having pretty records whatsoever I want the best competing against each other as that’s what compelling in sports and the UFC delivers that consistently.

I’ll probably always be a boxing fan first but I’m staying up less for these BS matches year by year. At the same time I’m watching more UFC too.

Except Mark freaking Hunt is nowhere near one of the best heavyweights. You guys don’t like UFC, that’s fair but please stop making up BS lies to make yourself feel better. UFC as an organisation is thriving and they do right by the consumer. I can get behind that.

Ray Sefo, Gary GoodRidge, Ernesto Hoost, Bob Sapp, Mirko Cro cop and more 'It had a good format, and was fast moving/exciting'.

I can remember Mike Tyson appearing at a K1 event to hassle Bob Sapp 'I also remember seeing Francis Botha mixing it up in K1'.

I have never really bothered much with the UFC, although now and again afew characters will intrigue me.

No way a guy who doesn't train full time should be able to beat anybody in the top 15. Idc what their background is. It's a low skilled sport. Might be entertaining to you but let's not act like it's anything other than what it really is

The UFC puts out like double the amount of PPVs as boxing per year. And they average in the 300-400k range which is what stuff like Spence/Porter and Wilder/Fury 1 did. Jon Jones is good for 600-800k buys usually. Conor is all but guaranteed to break a million against just about anybody. Ronda, Brock and GSP could all push a million when they were around too. Floyd and Pac carried boxing PPV in the late 2000s through mid 2010s but even then the UFC was a more consistent PPV seller than boxing, it has been since like 06/07. And now Floyd is gone, Pacs drawing power is greatly diminished and Canelo is off traditional PPV.

The UFC roster includes BJJ, karate and judo black belts, division 1 level national and state wrestling champions, olympic medallists, ADCC champions and K-1 GP winners. Seems pretty skilled to me.
