How does Canleo get no backlash for this yet when GGG tried to catchweight ward people can't seem to forget it.
He wants to do, whatever is best for him, and whatever gives him an advantage.
You can stick your holier-than-thou perception regarding Golovkin.
And whats up with trying to make out like Canelo came first, and then Ward came next?
I noticed/corrected that same rubbish yesterday.
Golovkin is a hypocrite for attempting to catchweight Ward FIRST, and then totally refusing to negotiate with Canelo..... especially after spending 3 years telling everyone that he can beat "anyone from 154-168".
According to Golovkin's own words, he CAN beat Canelo at 155..... so, why isn't he fighting him?
Oh right, too risky...... and not actually sure if he can beat him at 155.
You making out like Golovkin is some saint good-boy, who just wants to preserve the sanctity of boxing, is a little naive.
He wants an advantage, that is all.

How ?
Golovkin is completely unwilling to negotiate, despite stating for 3 years that he can beat "anyone at 154-168".
I say again, Golovkin totally refused to negotiate.
Golovkin is stating "my way, or the highway".... to a guy who he knows will not fight at 160.
So yea, he obviously does not want to fight Canelo, and is clearly waiting for him to be stripped.
And, the holier-than-thou position that Tom Loeffler has taken..... that the fight HAS to take place at 160, because a title is on the line..... but if Canelo vacates, they are happy to fight him at catchweight down the track....
..... is complete and utter bull****, and only the very ******est fans would believe that rubbish.
They would simply fight him now, if they thought they could beat him.

LOL, Golovkin is gonna be the Undisputed Middle weight champ and Canelo will be fighting in the new 155 class.
Canelo is unwilling to fight at the Middle weight class and Golovkin isn't selling out to get the belt. Live with it.

It would have been Zombie GGG vs Floyd.
Floyd was ****** by not taking the fight, had he beaten GGG (even a zombified version) his legacy would have gone through the roof
Besides that, as I said and as proven by his last PPV numbers, GGG is nobody except to boxing purists. The casual fan doesn't know or care who he is. That fight would have done lower than Berto numbers for sure.

Of course it doesn't work that way.
You put Berto in the ring with someone he'd look good against, like Diego Chaves and I promise you he'd do better numbers than GGG.

Berto/Chaves (and that's just an example, mind you) simply needs to be sold on the excitement that was Berto/Ortiz and the idea that Berto is fresh off of facing Mayweather. Berto's a come-forward fighter, paired against a Mexican and they always come forward, and you've got the makings of a great fight. In marketing.
I'm not saying that Berto would do amazing figures, but he outsells GGG by far.
