I told people that Manny was getting knocked out the moment I saw Marquez and Manny on First Take and Marquez said "I need to do something..." (that something being call Memo Heredia) - people laughed at my prediction...until they heard Roy Jones say "HE'S NOT GETTING UP JIM!"
People will always go for who they like. Not who makes sense. Poll is meaningless.
Hating on Berto is cool, I get it. I don't think he's above a B- level fighter myself. But let's face reality here. There's not a single international boxer who would outsell an American boxer at the MGM Grand. None. Golovkin does not resonate with any casual fan. He has no real personality. He's just a slugger. Like Ruslan. That's cool and exciting to watch, but don't sit there and tell me that guys like GGG or Chocolatito are going to move seats when you've got people like Matthysse EVEN in loss, Berto EVEN in loss, Guerrero EVEN in loss, Marquez, Broner, Porter, Thurman, even Victor Ortiz. They all outsell GGG at this point.
I say again because I'm giving the benefit of the doubt, if GGG can knock off Canelo in clear and special style, he will become a PPV star overnight. Other than that, he will continue to be an undercard level draw.

Canelo is unwilling to fight at the Middle weight class and Golovkin isn't selling out to get the belt. Live with it.
They aren't " selling out to get the belt " because they don't think that Golovkin can beat Canelo at 155..... otherwise, they would just fight him.
And you know it

Jesus Christ learn to read.
Why would I care what " you think " ?
Are you even a genuine boxing fan ?
Or are you just a Golovkin fan ?
If you put the sport first, ahead of everything else, I would care what you think.

You quoted my post posting a bunch of horse **** that had NOTHING to do with what I said.
I never once mentioned Golovkin in my original post. All I ****ing said was that CWs for title fights are ******. If you knew how to read, maybe you wouldn't have posted half the crap that you posted (since it had NOTHING to do with what I was talking about).

But if you think Ggg is just a slugger like Prov, its probably not worth keeping this convo going.

he can't make 155...either that or his team has a false perception of their position in the food chain...from 155-157 I got Nelo...at the full limit smart money has to be on Lil G though... HOPEFULLY this fight will happen sometime this year

Glolovkin probably cannot be effective if he needs to drain an additional 5lbs.
He's made it clear that he will not sell himself short which canelo did against floyd.

I said he won't outsell an American boxer at the Grand. I said nothing of MSG, and in any event the sellout was more because of Lemieux than GGG. Let's be clear here.
Before that fight Lemieux only ever really lost against Marco Antonio Rubio, a first ballot HOF'er. Meanwhile he's taken dangerous fights and he's a solid puncher. He has a rabid Canadian and French fanbase. Canadian boxing fans will gladly go to NY to support their own.
tl;dr: Lemieux helped sell out MSG. GGG had little to nothing to do with that.
Did it help GGG? Absolutely. Will he sell out the Grand the same way? Depends on his opponent, not him, and regardless, he's not outselling an American fighter on American soil because nobody knows who he is yet.
GGG is a boxer-slugger. It's widely accepted a true boxer-puncher runs circles around GGG. Floyd, Ward, even Broner. The reason I don't want to see any of them fight GGG is simply because all we'd hear is how they "ran" when in reality, GGG is just slow, and he IS slow. His punches move through molasses and he doesn't move his head nearly enough. A precision puncher takes him out. Just like Ruslan.
