Great news.....need to start getting some balance and normality back into the world of world title fights and weight divisions....... Cotto started this whole ridiculous situation with sergio Martinez with 155 and then his next two fights he weighed in at 153 1/2 so he didn't even need to fight for that belt......he could have comfortably stayed at light middlweight...and guess canelo followed suit and has had 4 fights at 155 and his last weigh in was still dry at the weight so he could easily come in at 158 and make no difference in the way he looks..... The WBC must accept some of the blame for allowing this to keep happening and they should have stopped it before it got out of hand.....even the WBC cannot bend to canelo now and a written mandatory is a legally binding agreement that will force canelo into fighting glolovkin or else he has to give up the middlweight belt.....the funny thing I actually think the WBC would allow canelo to do what he wants because he is mexican and has the goldenboy backing but they can't because there rules are in place and its mandated so they will also be screwed if they try bend the rules for canelo....A middlweight champion defends his belt from 154.1lb to 160lb its that simple ...
