Yeah, like for example being the indisputed MW champion at the eyes of most fans and wanting the fight to be at the MW limit. Such crazy demands by GGG! How can he dare to say it? he must bend over to Canelo, cuz Canelo's bigger star men!
    **** that off.

Anybody who supports cannel's stance in this is not a real fan of the sport and is simple a Glolovkin hater. A champion should not be allowed to force a MANDATORY to come in at a catch weight. End of Story.

If Canelo is a true champ he will fight GGG at 160 and if he beats him then fair play. If he is a fraud he will keep demanding 155.

And to people saying GGG is not in a position to make demands ... he is NOT making any demands lol. He is just saying respect the rules of the sport and don't YOU demand a mandatory be forced to come in at a catchweight.

I like both fighters but the belt is at 160, you either fight at 160 or chicken out.

Imagine if Canelo said "You have to weigh in at the Jr middleweight limit, but your middleweight title is still on the line"
No, this is worse than Lalonde. Canelo is basically demanding a guy drops a whole division to unify 3 belts, while holding the lineal belt and outweighing the other guy fight night

I'm a GGG hater though now according to the great fans here on boxingscene. Lmao they can go kick rocks too.

You being RACIST automatically disqualifies your argument.

Little difference there of 5 lbs. split the difference then at 157lbs if games are to be played at Catch weight. But 160 means 160lbs to Boxing Lore. Fight at 160 or relinquish than middle belt Canelo. No mexican games here no illegal entry to 160lbs just a legitimate visa to 160lbs and no night crossing or swimming in to the middle title as with Cotto. Green card all the way to stay.

Boxing is an International Sport that is against Racism if you don't like it get out.

There's a perk of being the A-Side, as Floyd and Manny have both taught us over the years.

That perk is the flat out ability to dictate whatever terms they feel like dictating, regardless of whether you or I like it that way.

And yes, GGG *is* trying to make demands. Let's look at who the bigger draw is. If I'm WBC, I'm going to want the multi-millions Canelo Alvarez brings to me, but the thing is, he'll bring that money no matter who he fights. It doesn't matter what Loeffler says. If Canelo refuses and sticks to his catchweight demand, WBC will bow to his wishes. That's how they work.

Let me say this. If WBC gets stones and forces the right weight, I'll gain more respect for them, but history has taught me to be skeptical.

Bla bla bla, you'd respect the WBC for doing the right thing but you don't expect GGG to ask for the right thing and you call it a "demand"??

You are accepting as normal what is killing the sport. I sense that you are ok with these Canelo demands. Wanna defend the MW title at 155 ffs. Go away you pig, go back to 154 you overrated mother****er.

Here's the deal. You're stuck in era of boxing that doesn't exist anymore and hasn't for 20 years. This is what George Foreman has been trying to tell people.

We won't have eras with Nigel Benns and young Thomas Hearns's and young Roberto Durans and young Pipino Cuevas's. Period. We won't have eras where every fighter just wanted to fight the top dog and prove themselves.

Today's boxing - scratch that, boxing for the past 10 years really - has been about who can make the most money with the least risk. Let's step back in time.

Do you seriously believe Wilder has been tested since becoming champion? Better yet, do you seriously believe that everyone he's KO'd before becoming champion was a legit KO rather than dives?

Do you seriously believe that Grabomir Clinchko was able to beat so many competitors while doing outrageous amounts of clinching, was just random? That not a single ref disqualified him?

Do you seriously think Cotto's title win over Martinez was legit, rather than a ploy to make Cotto look good, get the belt off an aging warrior and make the most money at the least risk?

Lest we forget: De La Hoya did EVERYTHING possible to keep Floyd Mayweather from beating him for his title. Why was that okay yet Canelo can't do the same? Hell, De La Hoya was doing catchweights for over a decade.

Floyd, Cotto, Canelo, Manny, De La Hoya. All of the top names did and do catchweights. Why? Because it gives them advantage. All of them have played glove games. All of them have played ring size games. All of them have played fight date games. All of them have played fight location games.

Boxing is a business now. Accepting that it's a business evolved doesn't mean one likes it, but refusal to acknowledge the reality is just living in the past. Those days are gone.

Fact: Canelo is a big enough star that he can make demands of WBC and history has taught us they will bow down for the right draws. It doesn't matter whether you or I like that. It's how it is.

Which means GGG, as a VERY low drawing competitor who really needs this fight, needs to step up and take the risk for his future. He's the one who most stands to benefit. GGG is now where Floyd was in 2007, and he has to do what Floyd did - which is beat the odds. If he does that, he'll become a superstar. Just like Floyd did. Don't whine about it, be about it.

Can't stop laughing son. Rigo and Khan and GGG cannot get meaningful fights. Povetkin gets shut out a lot. Euro's hide in Germany and Europe. Funny though your train of thought dim as it is.
