Do you think Gym/Haymon didn't have a plan B worked out for Stevenson, in case this deal collapsed?

If this is accurate, and it would've been nice if the reporter that wrote the story actually provided info as to why the fight fell through, then it's clear HBO is blocking the fight. I get that this is in response to Haymon blocking the fight in 2014 by signing Adonis.

Shame because this is the fight I'd most like to see.

Wasn't it Duva that walked away from the purse bid?

Before they even started negotiating with Stevenson they already had plans on fighting in Russia anyway?
Given the way that negotiations for big fights go, wouldn't any promoter have a plan B ready?

Or..............................Duva could have taken part in the purse bid and let the fight get made with the fighters getting the most coin available.

The good thing is..... Stevenson doesn't have to hold that pucker anymore. Scientific studies have shown that excessive puckering for extended periods of time can cause permanent damage to the **** canal.

As expected really. The whole idea of the fight is nothing i can get excited about, as it never looks at getting any closer to happening. I'm past the stage of caring who is to blame now anyway.

On paper it's as good a fight as can be made right now. It has all the ingredients, belts and back story. Shame that it probably won't happen.

Stevenson has killed his relevancy, everyone has moved on and he can only blame himself/his team.

He loses to Ward and Kovalev if either fight ever comes off. He'll possibly lose to an unknown before that though. He has a monstrous straight right hand but little else in the arsenal. Not to mention he's almost 40 years old.

I wanted to see that fight so I guess I'm a little salty right now.
