But it isn't too late for Floyd to make me change my mind. Fight GGG at middleweight and if GGG cant knock you out, even if GGG wins, I would go for you to win a points decision against Duran.

Moral of the story. Fight GGG already Floyd at 160. That is important because Floyd never took risks throughout his career, so just do it once. Duran did with more kos than Floyd has fights.

    Mayweather has retired.

Is Pac fighting Golovkin next ?

Or will he fight the 135lb'er Crawford ?

Any fighter can beat any other fighter on a good night. I don't know why people think that any fighter will always beat another fighter all the time. Do NHL, NBA, NFL teams always beat the same teams every time they play. The problem with boxing is that fighters are matched up so carefully and given advantages so that they drastically increase their odds of winning.
Agreed, good point. Mayweather is being sold short. With that skillset/package he could get in the ring with any 147lb'er ever, and he would be right in that fight.

I'm not saying he would win, just that you cant tell me he wouldn't.

A guy like Hearns is the same, he would matchup with anyone.

I think Hearns could beat Mayweather, I would favor him, but that doesn't make Hearns a better welter.

Pac don't HAVE to fight GGG like FLoyd HAS to.

Pac is FOTD with 8 division titles, he can put his feet up and light a cigar. Floyd needs to prove to everyone they were wrong to make Pac FOTD. FLoyd needs to try be fighter of the next decade.

Pac has taken enough risks in his career, stepping up weight that much. Fighting outside his country, fighting Hatton at his best weight, giving JMM 4 chances to beat him who was Pacs kryptonite etc etc.

Floyd needs to be underdog to be great and do things he isn't supposed to do. People expect GGG to ko Floyd, so if Floyd lasts the distance Floyid will have done better than people expected. If you are unbeaten it means you didn't do what you was supposed to do or fight who you was supposed to fight.
Which sums Floyd up in a nutshell. When a smaller fighter coming off a ko with a bad shoulder is your best ever result, somethings not right there.

            Rubbish !

Mayweather > Pacquiao..... no question !

Mayweather has retired, Pacquiao has work to do.

I dont hear anyone in this thread saying that Pac could beat Duran

You are right Floyd has to fight GGG...and Pac don't have to fight GGG.
Of course Pac could beat Duran just like im sure Floyd could when Duran had one of his off nights.
Not sure Pac would beat Duran at his peak though just like most don't think Floyd would. That's why Floyd needs to fight GGG and survive 12 rounds with him. If he can do that, there isn't anything people don't think Floyd could do when it comes to fighting Duran or SRL or other past greats.
Floyd needs to do as well against GGG as Duran did against Hagler ideally. But surviving 12 rounds would be pretty good for Floyd, excellent in fact.

I agree that Hearns would be the most dangerous for Floyd because of the reasons you stated. Floyd would have never even got in the ring with Hagler. That's an unrealistic fight if you truly know how good Hagler was. But Leonard was a very versatile fighter. If he couldn't outbox Floyd, he would become a pitbull and out fight him.
I can't believe I'm reading posts here by muppets who think mayweather could have beaten a Leonard , hearns or hagler ...I can't believe it....some these guys must be on crack on something.....Leonard or hearns 1981 or hagler 83...mayst her struggles to even put a dent in maidana or berto and there saying beats those 3 Legends ....hearns 78 inch reach 6ft 2 hagler 75 inch reach could switch righty and leftie and simply a beast a middleweight.....and Leonard with 74 inch reach....quicker and with just as good footwork but more bigger puncher....Leonard already knocked his old man out before he even was at his peak 78....and Floyd was a natural 130 and Leonard 147.....I have serious concerns about some of these people writing in these threads...scary

No knowledgable insiders talk about that fight seriously.

Pac didn't even fight a real JMW, he has no place in a MW discussion.

No sensible person thinks FLoyd could beat a peak Duran, SRL or Hearns.
That's why its important Floyd fights GGG at 160. If Floyd does well, people might one day believe maybe Floyd could have been competive with SRL and Hagler.
But FLoyd has to give people a reason to have faith in him and hes still not done that. Beating a one armed Pac smaller than him, and a CW with canelo isn't enough I agree.
