He called out prince naseem and casemoyar after he beat corralles and Larry Merchant told him that those guys will never fight him after what he just did to corralles.
Floyd never ducked anyone, he was the one being ducked the whole time. Floyd has always gone after champions. .
So you are saying Floyd hasn't fought anyone in their prime at their best because they all ducked Floyd?

Well, for whatever reason Floyds resume is so weak, id say fight GGG at middleweight. Take a risk where you are underdog. If you overcome adversity, and win, you will be better than people thought you was. So if people think Floyd is top 20 ATG if you beat GGG you are actually top 15. You are better than people thought you were.
Most people think SRL and Duran would beat Floyd. If Floyd beat GGG, maybe not everyone would think SRL would beat Floyd and is greater? But Floyd has to give people a reason and give people second thoughts. It wont be given to you on a plate.
Beating a smaller sized Pac coming off of a ko, is no basis for thinking Floyd is as great as SRL or Duran, or would beat SRL or Duran. Neither is beating a green Canelo at a CW.

I would love to see Floyd V Duran. I think Floyd would win. Duran only lost 3 times in his prime. each time, right hand dominant fighter with longer reach than Duran. Laing, Dejesus, SRL (who he of course had already beaten).

Mayweather vs Duran is an absolute classic fight.

I don't think there's a man in the history of this planet that can beat Mayweather at 130 pounds, not a soul. Roberto's obviously the greatest Lightweight ever. And based on how Floyd entered 135, it's easy to see how Roberto beats him. But, all things considered, I favor Floyd.

I've always felt out of the horsemen, Roberto was the sure guy Floyd would beat. Especially if they fought at 147, but seeing as how both of their primes were at Super Featherweight & Lightweight, let's judge them on that.

In boxing, there is no way to quantify who is the best ever or even of an era. However, based on attributes, Floyd may just be the most complete fighter of all time. He had it all...defense, speed, respectable power, impeccable timing, a diamond chin, high boxing IQ and discipline outside of the ring. Short of a huge physical mismatch (ex. George Foreman) I'd favor Floyd against anyone at any weight he competed at. If i had to pick though, I think Hearns would pose the biggest problem.

Never seen anybody walk through Mayweathers punches.

              Not the LHW Canelo

Not the Hoya who fought little Floyd in 10oz gloves.

Everyone got tamed with that technique/timing/precision.

Everyone he fought said Mayweather hits much harder than you think.

I dont think thats why they would beat him.

Good point about Cuevas, but I can count the number of people who have hit Mayweather cleanly on the fingers of one hand.....

..... and I can still pick my nose and type with one finger

Not really arguing, and great post btw, but I wouldnt write Mayweather off against anyone at that weight.
The problem with the fighters who got tamed is they weren't powerful stylists\heavily skilled like the fab four who were serious ATG.

Stop hating Roberto...you can talk all the **** you want, but you QUIT once when the going got tough.

You think Leonard embarrassed you in New Orleans?!

Floyd would have made you speak perfect English.

So all you Floyd haters can sit up here and salivate over Durans meanderings about the havoc he would have wreaked upon Floyd...but that's what Pacquiao was supposed to do and we see what happened.

"NO MAS" Roberto...it will be defaced on your tombstone so sit down, shut up and enjoy the well deserved accolades that you have acquired.

You're a quitter no matter what else...that tag will also always apply to your name.
Don't kid yourself. We are talking about Duran Montreal 1980, not the one who had Diarrhea. And don't bring Pac into the equation, he would have been leveled by Hearns, Duran, and Leonard.

ANY former lightweight who faces Hagler is mentally as tough as it comes. Duran just couldn't hold his Diarrhea on that one night against Leonard.

You dont even believe that...Look the story changes every time he tells it. Only he knows why he did what he did. Only thing we know for sure is that he quit that night.
