And his fight before that, he scored 6 knockdowns and demolished Chris Algieri. Maybe it was, oh I don't know, a style matchup and Mayweather's actions that limited Pacquiao's offense, and not just Pacquiao's age?

It's the style alright, the hugging and running style will diffuse any action in the ring lol

          Nobody.

Thats why this can never be discussed in an honest fashion.

Every time you bring up a flaw in Duran, you get countered with: Yeah but the Duran who fought Leonard in Montreal !!!!!!

Guess what, that Duran and the Duran who got completly outboxed by Benitez IS THE EXACT SAME MAN!
Oh, so what you are saying is that it is okay for fans to bring up how Castillo beat Mayweather then. FYI, That was not the same Duran who fought Benitez. Go watch both fights and you will see the very obvious conditioning and intensity difference in Duran. This is about both Mayweather and Duran at their best. Otherwise I can use the first Maidana fight and the first Castillo fight to show how those guys were not on Duran's level, yet they had plenty of success against Mayweather. Works both ways dude.

Good point. But Maidana really did get a lot of press for how Mayweather chose to fight him in the first fight. He owes Floyd big-time for that.

Who can hugging is not allowed in boxing. Queens-berry rules.

Lol Maidana don't owe him anything. Remove all the intentional hugging Floyd did to him and if the referee penalized Floyd for those excessive hugging. Maidana won it clearly.

HUGGIES 70 hugs in one night.

Frazier found his way out of Ali's hugfest, and beat him rather handily in their first meeting. There were more clinches by the 5th round of that fight than there were the entire Mayweather-Pacquiao fight.

By the way, 16 clinches over the course of a fight, with 1 being initiated by Pacquiao is not "hugging." That's about 1 per round, which is relatively low.

70 plus hugs in the Maidana fight. Pathetic really.

The difference is intentional clinching to stop a fight. Is a bear hug for ***** boxing. Pussay move.

It stops a fight from ever materializing in a 3 min per round bout. Add all that hugging which is foul and diffuse the essence of boxing what we have is..

A hugging marathon contest for 12 rounds.

The difference with Ali frazier fight it was a fight. Floyd's more of a runner trying to stay away from making it into a fight. Big diff buddy.

Oh and Frazier doesn't intentionally clinch to prevent a punch from going his way. floyd does that. floyd blocks by hugging. Frazier blocks with his arms. Floyd is obvious pussay hugging.

i'll explain one last time. try to read and comprehend.

you were talking about pac's style, workrate, etc.

i replied his age, ring age to explain why/how he doesn't/can't fight like that anymore.

his opponent's age is irrelevant to his style/stamina. his own age is.

                      comprende, e******o?
