But your post was addressed to me. Nothing suggests that Canelo will fight GGG next. And Cotto has been lukewarm at best. I could give a rat's ass about Lemieux. Or Quillin or Jacobs. All mediocre fights. It's not even comparable to the Hopkins situation when he was at MW. So I'll just wait and see what GGG does. But no, it wouldn't be surprise me if he doesn't fight Cotto/Canelo, remains at 160 and faces another suspect opponent on PPV.

Do you really have to ask why guys like Broner and Floyd receive so much hate? Let me fill you in on something. A douche is a douche regardless of race. Aside from maybe appreciating their skills, there's not much to like about either guy. Its like saying "you must be racist if you dislike Angel Garcia". No, it has nothing to do with his race. Fact is he's just an annoying loudmouth.

Ward doesnt get the hate that you claim he does. Sure many people criticized his holding/headbutting style in the past, but they never attacked his character. There's actually nothing to dislike about the guy. He's humble and he's a great fighter.

The point is GGG gets criticized for the lack of quality opposition and the fact he didn't go to 168 for a ward fight like he planned to do for froch or chavez.

His skin color has no bearing. That you suggest people only mention it because of his skin color wreaks of hypocricy since this is the same stuff you and others used , as I said from 2007-2015.

Worst PPV matchup in years, no question. Someone mentioned that HBO did it because they couldn't fund the fight otherwise. Whatever. Still a terrible match.

I don't see GGG-Canelo happening anytime either. And I don't see Cotto in a rush to do it...unless he bends Golovkin over the negotiating table as far as he goes.

But they're being smart, talking up these fights while dipping in our back pocket for opponents like Lemieux and Monroe. We've seen this story before, my friend.

You must be looking for racist remarks because I dont see where anyone refers to Ward or Wilder in the same manner as Floyd and Broner. Both Floyd and Broner invite and deserve the criticism they receive.

There's much to criticize Haymon over but I wont get into it with you as it will be a never ending discussion given the fact that he's your "god".

As for Wilder, the only hate/criticism I see being thrown his way is the same thing you criticize GGG for and that's his resume/level of opposition. Personally I like Wilder. I've even defended him when he said he's going to take another fight while Povetkin has his November matchup.

There were those that said Hopkins should just move up in weight at the time as well, I remember it. On a smaller scale of course since Hopkins wasn't a star yet.

Sounds a lot like GGG's situation. Neither era's were loaded with talent but both stayed patient, which eventually paid off with big fights. Both era's had a couple of big stars at or below MW (Oscar and Tito, Canelo and Cotto, Mexican and Puerto Rican). While I agree Cotto won't fight him, I do believe Canelo will. Question is when.

1. The middleweights of Hopkins time were far better.

2. Hopkins was hated by all promoters and networks, thus had absolutely NO bargaining power against anyone.

3. There were no fighters at 168 in the year 2000, for instance, that would warrant a move up. No prestige, no legacy, nothing. Hopkins had no choice.

4. Trinidad was a heavy favorite over Hopkins. Different perception.

Imagine Hopkins fighting Keith Holmes on PPV. Goodness. Actually, my bad, Keith Holmes. You beat Richie Woodhall among others. Comparing you to Lemieux is a dead slap in your face.

My problem with any accolades GGG gets is relative to his resume, nt his skin color. Since you and those that like him have no answer for his weak resume, you deflect to race. Shameful.

Compare what you see on GGG's social media accounts with that of any prominent black boxer. Now tell me which suggest the hate is racial.

8---Carl froch - After calling GGG out then when GGG accepted ,he backed down and now he is retired after making all the fuss, GGG was calling him for more than a year so no excuses for "retiring".

9---Andrea Ward (who GGG called since 2012 and who remembered only this spring ) [Ward] was willing to goto 160 for Floyd but when GGG said 164, Ward ducked.+ he was fine when Dawson came down a whole division for him but wont move half a division for GGG, smh

Add Canelo Alvarez to this list. Canelo is fighting at 155 for two years now, thus refusing to act like the true "middleweight" he really is.

MD at no point have I ever suggested GGG is being avoided. But you and his fans need to stop making excuses for him.

Had he tried to fight Ward at the same weight he did froch or chavez, 168, then you and the poster would have a valid argument.

Bottom line is he is being judged based on the fact he's fighting Lemuiex at 160 Saturday instead of Ward at 168.

Dare to be great I believe is the term.
