That isn't true. Maybe not you, but most desperately want Kov to fight ward first. Look at the responses from the GGG fans in this thread.

We all know the economics are different. I just want GGG fans to acknowledge that he chooses money over the tougher fight and that is why whenever he can't get the fight he wants he takes on an easy KO victim.

I simply disagree with your premise. He ALWAYS had the goal of unifying 160. 2 years ago that wasnt possible because nobody would unify with him, so he was looking outside 160 for a big fight. Fast-forward to today though and it IS possible to unify 160, so thats what he wants to do. The circumstances have changed. And a Ward fight just isnt enticing enough to abandon the unification track, and odds are Ward will still be there when GGG wraps up 160.........

No more point in talking about it javi. GGG is afraid to fight Andre Ward right now. He isn't going to risk his undefeated record before he can fight the winner of canelo/cotto.

his fans want Ward to go up and fight Kov first, then come down in weight to fight GGG, because they think that gives GGG a better chance to beat Ward.

Shows what kind of fans they are-they don't want to see GGG challenge himself, just get KO after KO.

why do you insist on ignoring the simple fact that the Lemieux unification and the WBC mandate for Cotto-Canelo winner to fight GGG or get stripped has CHANGED THE CIRCUMSTANCES for Golovkin? He is no longer in the situation he was in 6 months ago. He no longer needs to look outside 160, as his dance card is full for the next 6-12 months......

they are full of **** plain & simple. Ward called they're bluff & now its 164 lbs. But they'll fight the BIGGER Froch & Chavez Jr at full 168. & don't say about "a side/b side, no draw, doesn't draw etc because that was exactly the BS ya was talking about when other fighters decided not to fight lil' g. Now all ya are doing is flip flopping & moving goal posts.

Where ward's next fight is doesn't change the fact that GGG is afraid to fight him right now because he doesn't want to risk losing before the possible big payday with Canelo (if he beats Cotto).

Fighting Ward at a catchweight does not affect his ranking at 160 nor would his belts be on the line in that case. Even if he lost to Ward it does not remove him as the mandatory to that belt, nor does it make a potential ppv between him and either of those fighters any less lucrative. Not sure why you have this impression that this guy is scared of ward or losing to him. They gave HBO the green light to pursue the fight, the president of HBO is on record stating he'd be sitting down to discuss the fight with Ward. Nothing ever came of it. We knew one side was on board....doesn't seem like the other side is onboard until a fighgt is signed though. Sort of like Lara has been doing lately.

No offense dude, but how likely is it?

if cotto wins you and others think cotto will not fight GGG. If Canelo wins, you think they will fight, but are not 100% sure even though the WBC has a rule in place. Many of you think that either will drop the belt-thus getting GGG a title fight with another lower class fighter-that's if the WBC doesn't change and let Haymon guys sneak in. He will also never get the belts Haymon guys have.

So my premise is exactly true-when GGG doesn't get the fights he wants he takes the easier road to stay undefeated to maximize his earnings if he gets the BIG fight he covets.

It didn't have to get to that dude. The ward fight should've been made then he comes back for the Lemuix fight. that's what he was going to do with chavez and froch so that's what I want him to do with ward.

why is that so wrong? Its the same thing, its just ward is more of a test than froch who is more of a test than chavez.

Didn't Sanchez say nearly 2 years ago that GGG/Ward wouldn't make financial sense, and haven't we since found out that HBO told both camps back then that they were not willing to fund the fight till it became PPV worthy?
