So in the WBO, their champion surpassed all rivals(their mandatories) according to WBO rankings to be the champion in that WBO boxing contest.
Same with WBC. Or WBA. Or IBF.
Since there's 4 titles, there's 4 champions (1 is the champ for their organization and so forth).
You're arguing something that doesn't exist. There's no way to classify the "true" champion of the division.
Never go full ******.

Ward won the super 6 168lbs tourney as the best in his division. In my opinion he shouldn't have to budge on his weight. No 172 catchweight like his last fight but if the fight is to happen it should be at 168 & 50/50 isn't that bad. Roc Nation has some money & I'm sure is giving Ward a nice purse for his fights. GGG really hasn't beaten any top guys. Ward beat them all at 168. Ward's biggest issue has been his ego. It cost him millions in time wasted in court & a refusal to havea lucrative fight vs Bute when he was champion. Instead Froch went in & stole his fight with Bute & went on to cash out in some big fights. I doubt this fight happens...

You cant change the subject.
There are 4 titles, but obviously there can only be one champion, right ?
champion
noun
noun: champion; plural noun: champions
1.
a person who has surpassed all rivals in a sporting contest or other competition
There are four champions because there are four different rankings bodies within each division. The WBC has their own set of rankings, independent from the WBA, IBF, and WBO. That means that the WBC champion has surpassed all his rivals in the WBC rankings. Thus, the WBC champion.
It's the same with the others too.
Each champion has surpassed all the other rated contenders for their sanctioning body. Each division has four major sanctioning bodies, at the top of which is a champion, hence there are four champions per division.
It's that simple. There are four champions per division these days, as ridiculous as that is.
As for weights, you don't have to weigh in at the top of the limit. You can weigh absolutely whatever the **** you want. If Floyd fought the 160 pound champ weighing 147, he'd still be the middleweight champion. It doesn't matter what you weigh, as long as you are under the limit. If someone won the middleweight title weighing 153 it doesn't mean ****. He won the title, thus is champion.

FACT: holding a belt does not make you a champion
Everyone knows that !
Well, holding a middleweight belt does not make you a middleweight.
Cotto weighs 153, so good luck with that silliness.
Luckily, Hypekin will likely get that fight if he agrees to Mr Cotto's request.
Should Mr Cotto beat Canelo, that is.
Oh, I believe in referring to a genuine A-side as " Mr "
And Canelo is not a MW, he is obviously a JMW.
Seriously, what middleweight weighs 155 ?
Casual fan logic right there.
And as far as the mandatory goes? So what, who fkn cares. Mandatories are missed/ignored/un-enforced all the time, why should this one be any different?
Its incredibly amazing how a person can be as ****** as you. I've been reading this thread watching you blow up with dumb comment after dumb comment. Each time, you get more mad than the last. But this post here, goodness, epic ****ing meltdown. Congratulations.
