That's literally like basics 101.
The classification of what fight class fighter you are is based on your weight. Even if you can make multiple weight classes, the weight class you obviously fight in the most is clearly the weight class you fight in.
The EXACT definition of a division fighter is a fighter who fights at or below the division limit. That's why they don't allow fighters who weigh over the weight limit fight for titles. Because they don't meet the qualification. A JMW fighter is someone who fights at 154 (the limit) or under. So even if he can make 154, the fact that Canelo fights above that limit means he falls in the next division category, which is MW.
