At the arrival of the 2nd sanctioning body, it occured to most people that there cannot be two legitimate champions within a single division.

Even the simplest of boxing fans should be able to see that having 4 genuine champions is impossible, and even the simplest of boxing fans should be able to see that the 4 sanctioning bodies exist solely as a money-making enterprise and that not one of them places the sport of boxing above their own profit margins.

Canelo is a MW.

Do you understand that he would not be allowed to compete for a junior middleweight (super welterweight) title if he weighed in at 155lbs?

Cotto weighed in at 155lbs when he won the WBC and lineal MW titles from Sergio.

He weighed in at 153lbs for Geale, which is below the upper limit for SWW, but that is irrelevant, because the official weight limit for Cotto vs Geale, as recognised by the WBC, was 160lbs, and it was a MW title fight.

Cotto can make SSW if he wants, but if he wants to defend his MW titles, he must defend them as a MW.

I understand that now Mayweather has retired, the fight between Canelo and Cotto will be to determine the best JMW on the planet.

They are the two best 154lb'ers available.

They will be weighing 155 or less.

And yes, there will be other titles/fcukery on the line as well.

2) Gennady Golovkin is OBVIOUSLY not this " avoided killer " that his team attempt to make him out to be..... he is clearly subject to the exact same risk/reward decisions as every other fighter

3) GGG clearly wants nothing to do with Ward, and I dont blame him

Actually, it is Golovkins abject failure to even attempt to live to his hype and the subsequent condonement of that fact by his fanbase, that is the issue.

Case in point..... Golovkin has used that "A-side" thing with Ward, so he has to at least acknowledge that Cotto/Canelo will be the "A-side" if they fight..... and yet he refuses to even consider a catchweight despite Cotto weighing 153 last time out.

That is lame, and your support of that is disgusting..... especially considering the fact that you said any boxer who calls out a smaller man and then refused to even discuss a CW, would be viewed as a cherry picking coward.

If Team Golovkin refuse to consider a catchweight knowing that Cotto will be forced to vacate, despite stating on numerous occasions that Gennady can make 154 and will do so for Mayweather..... then he chose to walk away from a HUGE payday to fight {insert name here} for a vacant title..... and you guys are gonna all hear about it.

GGG called out Cotto from the moment he won the title from Martinez as GGG had been calling out Martinez for years before that. Cotto is the champion in the middleweight division, you know... the division that GGG fights in? That is why he wants to fight him. Ward is not fighting at MW, does not have a MW title and is a pointless fight to even consider.
