I agree that Cotto isn't great but you don't have to be great to be a HOF. If someone like Gatti got in, Cotto should definitely go in.

Triangle theories do not work in boxing.
Styles make fights.
Geale > Murray, and he beats him head-to-head.
BTW, we are quibbling over nothing, which proves that there is nothing between GGG/Cotto's resume IF Cotto gets by Geale.

I predict Cotto will fight Canelo and then drop back down to 154.
He wont fight Golovkin even if he does manage to beat Canelo. It's just not going to happen.
Canelo vs GGG will happen one day though. Probably in 2017. Canelo's still only 24 years old and not a full Middleweight yet.

That middleweight tournament took three Don King fighters and Hopkins willing to sign a 6 fight deal with Don King to make it happen.

He has a point, for him fighting both is very optional for him not required. This is the final leg of his career, he fought all of the top guys of his ERA. Now as he close in on retirement, he is collect huge checks because he is a draw in the sport and he has a loyal fans base and can sell out MSG or Barclay Center on his own. They need him a lot more than he needs them that is for sure. Now of course that is frustrating for GGG and Canelo fans of course but that is just the ways things are and nobody can do anything to change that
If Cotto walks away from the negotiation table with Canelo again, Canelo is SCREWED and is likely stuck fighting Joshua Clottey in September. GGG at least has Froch to dance with!
