You said it: "was a better fighter" Sergio was (past tense you know) a better fighter, but when he faced Cotto, Sergio wasn't fit to be in the ring, and the video of the fight proves it.

You do realize if Cotto gave up the strap a year ago, Golovkin would be in the same position he's in now. Best in the division with no credible opponents. He'd have dat belt doe.
It won't be worthless straps if Golovkin unifies them all. He will be able to force Quillin, Lemieux, Lee and others to fight him because no one will be able to become champion without fighting him. He wants to unify like Bernard Hopkins did at middleweight.

I dont see Cotto as a hall of famer, he just has not done enough maybe as far as popular fighting or PPV I guess, but I just dont see it....he is good but not great IMO

Best way to get a Cotto fight is to be humble as Cotto is not falling for the call out nor is he going to be swayed by somebody talking shyt to the media about how brave they are. It is what it is... We can't all be golden boys with big ass fake smiles and fishnet fetishes.
No one dictating Cotto, man even Sergio couldn't. I'm sure Golovkin willing to be B side to Cotto to get the fight made.

              Ouch but true

Which is probably another reason why ggg is so itching to get in there with cotto and Canelo. Needs his credibility boosted. He will get there. He just needs to wait. Floyd and cotto took a decade before they started rolling in doe and notoriety.

Facebook generation wants quik gratification Which as in canelos situation comes at their own peril

It is funny as shht to me that Cotto is the proven legend, and yet everybody is on his nuts..... and Golovkin is over-hyped, clearly well-managed, has no defining wins, and yet he gets a pass for calling out JMW's and bums.

I fkn hate casual fans, they should all be shot.

Listen up ****s..... Geale (Cotto's next opponent, and current top 3 MW) is Hype-ovkins best win.

You all do understand that, right ?
Isn't Cotto's best wins Judah, Mosley , Martinez?

Margarito 2 was a good win. By round 9 Cheatos head was starting to snap back.

Only do boxing fans say he deserves some tune ups, he needs a catch weight, we dont want our greats (Mayweather Cotto ie) to lose etc. Oh and if GGG is such a scrub then why don't Mayweather or Cotto step up and fight him?
                  1) Cotto is a proven legend, and first ballot hall-of-famer

                  2) Golovkin is not a proven legend, and first ballot hall-of-famer, yet

                  3) Daniel Geale, is Golovkins best win

                  4) So, if Cotto beats Geale, his "challenges" at middleweight look identical to Golovkins

He won't if he get offered floyd in a rematch. Much more money and potential glory in that fight. And best of all cotto can get another phat payday fighting Canelo after he fight mayweather. That's what I woukd do if I was cotto.

He's right, but if he doesn't get a shot at Floyd next, he needs to at least fight Canelo. If he beats Canelo, he has to fight GGG if he wants to stay at MW. I wouldn't blame him if he moves down in weight. I honesty thought he should have done it after beating Martinez.
