List of excuses from Arum as to why the fight could not go down on May 5th, 2012 : (These excuses are from January 2012)

1)Top Rank doesn't know who to contact to start negotiations.
2)They need more time to build an outdoor stadium.
3)Pacquiao has a cut that won't heal until June.
4)Mayweather doesn't have someone that will guarantee his purse.
5)There's not enough time to properly promote the fight before May 5th.
6)Mayweather might not get his boxing license from the NSAC.

When he thought Floyd was going to jail he said Manny will be available to fight JMM on May 5th at the MGM. Then when the jail stint got pushed back, Arum said more time is needed for the cut to heal and the fight needs to be in late May or June 9th. Knowing very well Floyd was under contract for May 5th and that his jail term was set to start on June 1st.

No way in hell am I going to take anything this man says seriously, he simply does not want this fight, his actions prove it. And Pacquiao is a docile lap dog because he has yet to apply pressure to Arum to stop wasting time and make it happen. So you have an old pimp (Arum) and a neutered servant (Manny), with this state of affairs this fight will never happen.

No argument here, Arum is very much to blame too. But at least now he says he wants the fight. Although that's probably bs too

Arum doesnt owe any money to floyd, they both went to court and sued each other and what not.
Floyd has stated that, and if you never heard it well start doing some of your own research.

of course they did, that's why it happened. It isn't making as much noise on NSB because posters like you didn't consider it a "roadblock" then because 1-manny was doing the asking and 2-shane and JMM said yes without a problem.

If the act truly was a"roadblock"-it would be one in every situation. Its only one when Manny is involved. which leads any reasonable person to conclude he is the problem, not the request.

It's business for Mayweather and Haymon.

Mayweather v Pac is the biggest fight of the last decade and longer. Mayweather wants that to be the flagship promotion of Mayweater Promotions, he doesn't want to share it, he wants it so Mayweather Promotions supersede Top Rank and Golden Boy as the biggest promotional outfit in the sport. That fight is a massive asset to whoever promotes it, and Mayweater obviously wants it to be for his company, not someone else's.

I'm not agreeing with it, but I think that's the reason.
