It has nothing to do with Arum. Sergio Martinez wasn't with Arum when he was offering Floyd a fight at 150 lbs with a 80/20 split in his favour.

Why must Arum step aside in order for this to happen? Arum is Pac's promoter. Never in the history of boxing has any fighter refused to fight another fighter because of who his promoter is. Floyd just needs to grow up and put his silly feelings aside. Get in the ring, make history, and ride off into the sunset win or lose.
If Arum is willing to concede being the A side of the promotion to Floyd and Floyd still doesnt want to make it happen, then how can anyone say that Arum is the Impediment? The one being an impediment is the one who is asking for the rediculous demands and asking for a fighters promoter to not be involved with his own star pupils biggest fight of his career.
Oh and trust me, the demands and roadblocks wont stop coming from Floyd. Although Pac is willing to be fully tested and take much less money, there will be more issues with testing and gloves from Floyd. I'm calling it. Floyd will want the shady USADA to perform the testing while Bob will want VADA, the agency that is actually CATCHING drug cheats and not letting them fight although they have failed like USADA has done in the past. Also I guarantee you that Floyd will protest Pac's Cleto Reyes gloves that he has worn his entire career. Just watch!

The Bob Arum top trial balloon sent up for Manny Pacquiao's possible next, if he beats ChrisAlgieri, or beats him by a slim margin and a rematch is called for, or Pacman fights Floyd Mayweather, or Juan Manuel Marquez comes back to the table, or something else pops up, is Danny Garcia.
The potential pairing of the Philly based 140 pound champ of Puerto Rican descent against the Fighting Congressman gets a thumbs up from pretty much any fan I talk to, and Oscar De La Hoya, Garcia's promoter, said he'd be talking to Arum next week about hashing out the outlines of a deal.
With Garcia in the mix, prominently, I took the opportunity to ask "Dedham" Freddie Roach what he thinks about a Pacquiao-Danny Garcia face-off.
"I love that fight," the 52-year-old trainer told me. "That was my number one choice. He's a good opponent, he's a tough guy, he comes to fight, his dad talks a lot of s--t, I can talk a lot of s--t, we'll get it on. Garcia comes to fight and I learned that when he fought Amir Khan, Amir stayed in the pocket too long, he got caught, the guy swings for the fences all night long, he's dangerous all night long."
Bob has a habit of talking about Mayweather vs. Pacquiao, while working on something totally different, with all expectations of blaming Mayweather for the fight not happening. He did the same when he thought Mayweather would go to jail, but when he got the continuance, then Bob said Pacquiao wasn't ready, etc.
Arum is a snake!

Arum says there is no issue on money, there is no issue with drug testing, there is no issue with weight, there is no issue with Mayweather being the A-side of the promotion and the veteran promoter says the biggest issue has been solved - both Showtime and HBO are willing to come together to make the fight. Mayweather has an exclusive contract with Showtime and Pacquiao has a similar deal with HBO.
