I really do NOT think he wants the fight. Arum's way of looking at things is "how much will I make," "not how much will Manny make." For instance:

Arum said while Mayweather would have taken the $8 million to fight Margarito, he asked for a $10 million guarantee to fight opponents such as Miguel Cotto and Ricky Hatton, when Arum was only willing to guarantee $7 million.

Arum said Mayweather also asked for $20 million to fight De La Hoya, a fight Arum said he wasn't interested in participating in.

"That's not in the cards," Arum said. "He wants $20 million for the De La Hoya fight? It's not there. Sometimes, my man, you gotta know when to hold 'em and when to fold 'em. We'll talk about things down the road."

The split frees Mayweather to make a potential deal with De La Hoya without Arum as part of the promotion. His involvement would have made making a deal almost impossible: The head of Top Rank has openly feuded with De La Hoya, his former superstar, and their companies rarely do business together as a result.

Arum said he was simply not interested in participating in a De La Hoya-Mayweather fight, but not because of his distaste for De La Hoya.

"I don't want to, because if I did that fight, I would be working for such a small percentage, it's not worth it," he said.

You can't make it up because that is what it is.

Tell me this, at which point during the conversations those statements were made were they talking about why Floyd isn't fighting Pacquaio?

Which of those answers he gave did he say were essential for the fight to happen?

There is only one, and that's Arum not being involved at all. Whether that means Manny sign with TMT or Arum excepts step aside money. Everything else you posted was him making fun of Manny getting his ass kicked.

It should say something to the true identity of Manny Pacquaio as a fighter and Bob Arums
agenda for him as promoter, that in the absence of the Mayweather fight they wan't soooo badly, that he fights less than sub par competition.

As someone who has zero interest in this fight anymore, the nonsense from both sides is pathetic.

Arum, in my eyes, never wanted any part of this fight. Neither of the fighters have shown a real desire either, they talk a lot but when the fight was there they were glad to go in different directions.

They are now both faded, the fight isn't as important and yet both sides are still talking nonsense.

This is from floyds own mouth, not anyone else's.

This is floyd being interviewed about if pacquiao is using peds and if he will fight him:

Neither side has even spoken to one another about the fight, so how does he know there is no impediment? Bob has to realize he is going to have to take a backseat for the fight to happen. I say Floyd tells bob he wants to rent out Pac for the fight, so that he Arum only gets a flat fee and no PPV

                  March 18, 2008:

Mayweather claims that Arum shortchanged him on matches against Arturo Gatti in 2005 and Zab Judah in 2006. In the lawsuit, Mayweather said he was due 85% of Top Rank's revenue from the Gatti fight and 80% from the Judah fight. He claims Arum has refused to turn over the records for accounting. Mayweather has asked for the statutory minimum of $10,000 on each of the five counts, but would be in line for millions in punitive damages on a breach of contract claim.

                  April 26, 2014:

Further, the suit claims that his promotional agreement "improperly provides Top Rank the ability to extend the agreement indefinitely, essentially rendering the contracting fighter an indentured servant of Top Rank."

In another claim in the suit, Garcia said Top Rank violated the Ali act by not making federally required disclosures concerning the amount of money the company would make from Garcia's bouts.

"The act itself has been rarely been litigated but it requires Top Rank to make disclosures to Mikey before his bouts on the amount of money they would be receiving from his bouts. He did not get those disclosures," Freedman said.

See the pattern? Don't forget Chavez Jr. has the same problems. Oscar, Floyd, Cotto, same ****, different day!

Boxing's most powerful promoters are poised to lock horns in a dispute over a highly coveted Filipino superstar.

If this sounds familiar, it is, because less than five years after Golden Boy Promotions and Top Rank sued each other in a battle for the rights to Manny Pacquiao, history seems about to repeat itself. Golden Boy announced the signing of bantamweight champion Nonito Donaire Jr., on Wednesday, though Top Rank chairman Bob Arum insists his company has a valid contract with Donaire.

Arum said Donaire signed a contract with Top Rank in late June 2008 that was for three years and that included a one-year option. He said the contract included a provision that extended the terms if Donaire was suspended. Arum said Donaire had several medical suspensions, which are routinely doled out by state athletic commissions after fights, that have lengthened the contract.

Ladies and gentlemen this is not about money with Chavez. It’s about him wanting to take control of his own future and who can blame him. Why else would a man turn down such big money? The trade off doesn’t seem worth it to Chavez. He would get the one big fight, but would probably be miserable afterward. Arum explained his end by asking “Why would we take a risk losing on the fight with Golovkin and then we lose the kid as well”? What exactly would Top Rank be losing here? The answer is nothing. The fact that Chavez’s contract isn’t up until October 2015 tells me Top Rank can make this fight. They don’t want to. Proof? Bradley had to sign an extension to fight Manny Pacquiao. I strongly believe the only reason that Miguel Cotto resigned in 2009 was because he knew he would not be able to get his revenge against Antonio Margarito had he departed Top Rank. In fact, when Cotto became a free agent his first attempt to fight Pacquiao (on his fight by basis with Top Rank), the deal fell through for two reasons. One, Pacquaio said he was not fighting above 147 any longer. And two, Cotto said Arum offered him the same money and pay per view upside he did in his first fight with Pac.
