I recall people here were making a big stink over Rios showing up on fight night as a JMW/154 in a LW/135 fight against Anthony Peterson, and that was back in 2010.

The only people who call that running are Pac fans and fans new to boxing who falsely believe every fight is going to be a toughman style brawl.

Movement is more about the body and its positioning in the ring. What manny did was duck or slip a punch. If you want to call it movement because you feel it refutes my criticism of manny so be it.

Manny tends to stalk his opponenets so they have to move to avoid getting stuck in the corner or, once cornered, they have to move to get out. Head movement, ie ducking, slipping punches and negating their power, is something different.

I'm not saying every fight has to be a brawl but u know damm well what Mosley did is not effective movements where he is trying to capitalized on it. Mosley moved so he won't get hit not because he's trying to set manny up or anything like that. So in the PAC/marg fight in the 6rd when PAC was hurt by a body shot, that's not running away to get out of harms way to u? So what PAC did there is textbook boxing movements then?

By the way Marquez didn't show any of what Shane did fighting PAC lol.

Im not a pacquiao fan but no doubt manny has power; i mean saying he doesnt is just plain dishonnest and this is coming from a mayweather fan. Now does that mean its gonna matter if he fights Floyd ? absolutely not !!! remember Floyd answer when reporters kept asking him over and over if he was worried about canelo power. The thing with Floyd is very simple; just as much as broner was saying 2 days ago that people have to understand you get hit by punches you dont see ( by the way that showed broner inexperience. he got hit by the same ****ing punch allnight long i mean allnight and he out there talking about punches you dont see when he got hurt by the same punch allnight that just dumb neways ) Floyd almost anticipate every single punch that is thrown at him. its very very rare to see him suprised by a punch so that kinda take away some of the steam in his opponent punches; remember the punch that hurts a boxer the most is the 1 that he doesnt see coming and that is something that almost never happen to Floyd. so manny power would not really matter with Floyd. you cant beat Floyd with power. its has to be skills or a combination of both. with only power you have no chance.
Now as far as Floyd's power, he just have enough to make people respect him enough to not try to walk through him and of course if you running into him like hatton did or pacquiao does very often he can Knock you out with a well time left hook or right hook. just like marquez did but there have to be some momentum. neither marquez or Floyd can Knock a decent 147 pounder out without any momentum. they just dont have that kinda power but if you running into them and they time you right of course they can Knock you out. that exactly what marquez did to pac and what mayweather also did to hatton.

you were almost right but you use canelo's slow as s as an example. manny has speed that canelo only can dream of. manny also got the skills you speak of. he has skills, speed, and power, a deadly combination that could give floyd a run for his money and if manny had his stamina and endurance of old then things could get very interesting. but I still give floyd a slight edge because of his boxing acumen.

Mosley as effective in that he didn't get KD again and prevented a KO stoppage. you are correct, he didn't have any offense.

If you want to call it that fine. It in no way refutes my initial point-that manny is not very effective at cutting off the ring when fighting opponents that move very well.

Why's that? Floyd got dropped by Zab even though they didn't call it a knock down when his gloves hit the canvas. Shane rocked him with a single right hand..To definitively say he would have no problem would be crazy.

Roach already admitted that Pacquiao has problem with boxers. He just admitted Bradely is a tough fight cause Bradely is a good boxer. I haven't been in the ring with either but my money has and always will be on Mayweather.
