It's because his detractors want to see him lose so badly, that he'll never be able to satisfy them or get the proper credit no matter who he defeats. First they said that Canelo would defeat him, was a live dog and his biggest threat and stiffest challenge in years but once he rose to the occasion and exposed him, now they want to change all the rules by moving the goal post and raising the bar even higher against him. If they can't find an opponent closer to his own size or natural weight class to beat him then they would prefer for him to move up in weight and challenge opponents, who are naturally larger and stronger than him to try to defeat him like Saul Alvarez. Then when that fails, there are additional calls for him to move up to 160 lbs and above to challenge opponents who they think that could defeat him as well. So Mayweather finds himself in a lose-lose situation no matter what he decides to do with the rest of his boxing career.

Putting Golovkin's name in the same sentence with Mayweather is an insult to boxing

If GGG was a WW he would be called a miss match against Floyd , its only the handicap .and a huge desire to get Floyd beat and its no shame in how big they are .
Guys don't even want ive Floyd the 154 that GGG said he would do , they want the full 160 , Floyd going to weighin 10lbs lighter LOL , fanboys desperately want him beat .

When in actuality, Ward and GGG are much closer in size yet they don't advocate that fight cause they'd know Ward would shut GGG out.

I don't see the big deal if some people would like to see it, even if it's unrealistic for floyd to fight a MW. Obviously the competition current currently at 140-154 is kinda weak so people have to stretch their imagination for a challenge.
As far as GGGs resume goes, lets not act like Canelo, Guerrero, Ortiz all had amazing resumes either. Canelo basically fought one good guy in Trout which he barely won. Guerrero and Ortiz beat Berto which is equal to beating Macklin.

in a slicker way, yea you did......................thats a comparison of the last 3 fighters on mayweathers resume to ggg. ggg's best wins are macklin & Proksa. a young canelo has a better resume then that...........

Basically if the argument is that GGG hasn't done enough to fight Floyd based on resume it's invalid since those three guys mentioned didn't really do anything themselves, especially Canelo and Guerrero. The greatest thing they did was be Mexican.
