Putting Golovkin's name in the same sentence with Mayweather is an insult to boxing

Okay, 300 amateur fights are impressive but it doesn't justify how he hasn't fought at a world class level in the pros. He's done NOTHING to get a fight with Mayweather. You don't know **** about boxing if you don't understand that fighting former world champs is important in the development of a fighter just as an amateur background is.

He's done NOTHING because of the contract with Universum which expired in November 2011. Till 2012 he was fighting on undercards in Germany and was absolutely unknown even in his native country. In less than 2 years he became the most feared man in boxing. Give him a year he'll prove you're wrong.

He has said he is open to 168 fighters, but had said his short-term focus is on cleaning out the middleweight since there's still many people he needs to KO there. (Martinez, Quillin, Murray, Barker)

In regards to Dunn, no, Proska was a middleweight. Rosado, however, wasn't. The difference is easy on why people hold more respect to Golovkin than someone like Bradley: The skill is EASY to see and recognize, it's as simple as that. If Golovkin didn't have his background to back him up you'd have a point, but he does, and he knows how to box and you know he has true skill (aimed at Dunn).

Can either of you answer my question? What fighter currently has the same power as Golovkin while having his boxing ability or better? None.

Golovkin is hyped because he is an excellent boxer with extreme power, far better than Canelo or any fighter Floyd has faced. He does not waste time pot shotting, he is precise, calculated and very calm, which is the opposite of how you'd imagine someone with a 90% KO ratio

People put them within the same sentence because Golovkin has beaten many accomplished boxers in the amateurs, and has shown time and time again that he is very unique in his approach, he's laid waste to everyone in front of him. Name one fighter who has the power Golovkin does and boxes better than him currently? I'll wait.

Exactly, if he was much younger like 24 then his resume would be acceptable but he's 31 and he's being groomed like a young fighter....
