Why isn't Pac fighting Bradley at his strongest/most proven weight (140)?

I think that depends on the fighter.

If I've heard "Chavez Jr" like reports of Bradley struggling to make weight, I would agree that it's time for Bradley to move up to 147. But I've never heard such reports about Bradley not making weight like Chavez Jr.

Back in the day, Mosley use to walk around at 175 ish, but that doesn't mean that his strongest weight would be 160 or 154. It was 147.

Do you see what I'm trying to say?

Why are you moaning when Bradley and his team aren't?

I posted that he fought at 153 or w'e in the ams. He goes vegan to make 140. He walks at 165 he said.

Why does PAC has to go to 140?

PAC fights at 147 now and he is staying at that figure.

But anway, you don't have forlorn the weight.

If Bradley wants to come in at 140, he can.

Yes if Bradley was fighting the big WW he would find it a lot harder than 140 but Pacquiao is around the same size so the 147 weight doesn't really matter, it's just easier for them to make. Mayweather v Hatton was exactly the same.

Bradley called him out at 147. He is challenging for the title at 147. Why is this a problem?

Hatton did not ask for a catch weight and he did not ask for 140, he was content to fight at 147 so he could keep his title at 140 if he fell short, which is exactly what happened.

7 pounds shouldn't be a big deal, people ***** about all the weight classes then complain when a dude moves up 1 class~ if we are going by the original classes 140 and 147 would be the same class of fighter~.

Is Manny some monster of a welter~ no he isn't he is of similar size to Bradley so it really doesn't mattter where they fight at
              .

It is making a mountain out of a mole hill.
I agreed with everything except the bold.

Unless you're fighting at heavyweight, those 7 pounds makes a huge difference in the lower weights.

For example, remember when Castillo came in a few pounds over weight against Corrales and KO'd him in like 4 rounds?

Remember when Gatti came in a few pounds over weight against Gamache and not only ended up retiring Gamache, but he gave him brain damage as well.

Point is, those few pounds in the lower weights matter. It doesn't stop mattering until you hit 205 or so.

Regarding Manny's status as a welter, I believe an OST-free Manny is in fact a beast who hits extremely hard at 147 (regardless of the JMM-Pac 3 outcome). I'm not ashamed to say it. When you combine his speed and the power generated from his legs, I've seen Manny do some serious damage at 147.

Even though Bradley and Pac are the same size, the speed and power generated by Manny at 147 is far greater. So to answer your question, yes Manny is a monster welter.

Gatti put on over 20 lbs after the weigh for that fight didn't he?

                    Great find in the video.

That's my first time hearing Bradley call him out at 147.

I'm wondering if he's challenging him at 147 because he know's he wouldn't get a fight at 140?

Either way, thanks for answering my question. If he genuinely wants to fight Pac at 147, that's one thing. But if he's willing to fight Manny at 147 because he "COULDN'T" get a fight at 140, that's another.

That said, ask and you shall recieve.

                      Yep, he did.

If Gatti and Gamache were heavyweights, that extra 20 lbs wouldn't matter. I'm proven a point on how the smallest amount of weight matters in the lower weight divisions.
