Why isn't Pac fighting Bradley at his strongest/most proven weight (140)?

Where is the logic , Floyd went to 154 because he could not get Pac , and Pac wanted Cotto with a CW and Floyd took the fight Pac ducked , and while hanging around 147 waiting for Floyd as you say , Pac fights a LW and then a JWW , he dont fight WWs .

Something very sinister about the way Pac manipulates the weight and who he fights each and every time , this fight is Arums wanted fight Pac initially wanted a drained Cotto again , this fight was promised to Tim on signing with Top Rank , thats why no Khan for Tim , he was already promised Pac .

Tim was not going to 147 any time soon , he was ordered to by Arum or no fight , just like Arum ordered Cotto to 145 or no fight , Cotto leaves Arum and its no CW with Floyd .

But at least with Tim he wont be weight drained and as JMM showed it wont hurt him much being heavier and Manny still is only taking shots of a light punching JWW not a full fledged WW like Ortiz or Berto , Pac would not fight them without a CW .

Hatton and his team were the ones wanting to fight Floyd at 47 b/c they felt they would be stronger than Floyd at the weight. They preferred 47 over 40 plus Hatton wanted Floyds title. But please feel free to keep trying.

Pacquiao has the WBO title at 147 and Bradley has it at 140. They are both title holders.

One of the main knocks that people tried to make on Floyd fighting Hatton at 147 was the fact that he didn't look good at 147......wellllllllll, his opponent had something to do with it. SMH, whatever. Anyhow, I have no problem with Manny fighting Bradley at 147. Bradley has a better chance to win than most people think (that I've seen at least).

I hear Pac can barely make 147 because he's so small, so why doesn't he fight Bradley at 140, which would be both fighters strongest weight?

It just seems like Pac is trying to put Bradley at a disadvantage before they even step in the ring. I've heard other posters say that Pac tries to do this, but I've never really gave it much attention.

But when it comes to Bradley, I just don't see why Pac feels the need to bring him up in weight when that would obviously put Bradley at a disadvantage before they even enter the ring.

Bradley has had 1 fight at 147 against Abregu, which ended up being at UD. Nothing to scream and shout about.

I understand this is a fight and the whole object is to beat your opponent, but I don't think Pac has to win this way. IMO, he can beat Bradley at 140, but why try to beat him this way before the fight even starts. It's just not necessary.

If both fighters are, at least in your estimate, fighting in a weight class too high for them, how would that put only 1 of them at a disadvantage?

I agree,but I(and I said this before Bradley fought him)think Abregu would beat Collazo Berto and Clottey..None of the above gave Abregu a shot either,he has decent boxing skills(not better then Collazo granted)with some serious pop...I don't know what happen to him since his lost to Bradley,but I was high on the kid when he was coming up...Fun fighter to watch imo....

Respectfully, Tim Bradley has shown me nothing in the last 2 years to make me think he has a legitimate chance to beat Manny.
