Right, I stated that Andrade and Mundine were the most credible. The same Andrade that wasn't even picked for the Super 6.... not even as a replacement! Allan Green was picked over Andrade hahaha! But somehow, Trinidad is a lesser win despite being the favorite going in to their fight and when Wright shuts him out, it doesn't mean anything. Gotcha.

Yes, it's less credible then Kessler. Lacy was the favorite against Calzaghe and got shut out so is that a good win? Get real.

We'll disagree then. Trinidad > Lacy, not a good comparison.

I didn't compare them, I compared the type of win. Your argument was that Trinidad was favored and got shut out so how is that not credible? And I just pointed out the fallacy of that logic.

More important than who is when. Tito hadn't beaten a top MW in four years. And got the title shot by beating someone who wasn't even a 160lber. So stop it. If we're going to pretend Tito was still credible just because he had some wins years before then Roy Jones was a credible win for Calzaghe.

There's a difference between being better and greater. Being better has to do with mostly skills and talent. Being greater has to do with mostly resume and accomplishments.

Winky might be the better fighter skills and talent wise. But, Calzaghe is the greater fighter IMO. I would put Joe into the HOF...I wouldn't vote for Winky to go in.

Resume and accomplishment wise Joe has Winky beat by a solid margin. I don't know how you can give the edge to Winky.

I don't really think Winky is better either. Hmm, possibly.

Calzaghe's the greater fighter I agree. I struggle to see how the edge could be given to Winky.

But the point is there is somewhat an edge. Calzaghe's resume is above Wright's but is it that significantly clear? I don't think so. Both have a lack of frankly, good wins. Calzaghe's lack of good is better than Winky's, yes. But the fact remains that both have an underwhelming resume.

I wouldn't vote for Winky to get into the HOF. But to be honest, I'd hesitiate to vote for Calzaghe aswell.

Calzaghe might be a borderline HOF'er. I won't argue that...But, Winky is not a HOF'er at all. It might be slightly clear that Joe is the greater fighter. But, it's still clear that Joe is the greater fighter. I can't see an argument for Winky being the greater fighter. I don't think anyone can make an argument that would me believe this is even debatable let alone Winky being greater.

Like I said it might be slightly clear that Joe is the greater fighter. But, that's enough to make it clear on who the greater fighter is IMO.

I agree Calzaghe is definitely the greater of the two.

                  I have never disputied that.

I just don't think it's glaringly obvious a degree where Calzaghe's resume it utterly superior to Winky Wright's. Because I don't think it is.

Is it better? Yeah, It's better.

Is it signifcantly better to the level of say; Billy Conn resume compared to Bob Foster's. Absolutely not.

Maybe not to that level. But he's comfortably ahead.

the winky-vargas and winky-taylor fights were a lot clearer wins for winky than the calzaghe-hopkins win was for calzaghe yet i see people giving calzaghe tons of credit for beating hopkins and no credit for winky against vargas and taylor. in fact they take away credit because he "officially" lost and had a draw. this makes no sense. if you are gonna give calzaghe credit for beating hopkins by very dubious decision you have to give credit to wink for losing by even more dubious decisions to vargas and taylor which makes his resume much better.
