I want to see if hes a new man against a guy who will constantly pressure him.
Will Ortiz try and box or will he think"I'm bigger and stronger now so I'm going to stand toe to toe"?
He proved his worth against Berto.
But Berto and Maidana are two different fighters with two different mindsets.
Berto could not capitalize on knocking Ortiz down.
Berto ran when he got hurt.
Maidana just fought harder.
To dismiss him as a bum is ridiculous.

This looks like a marketing scheme. That picture has an HBO watermark on it. They're just trying to hype up the rematch IMO.

maidana haunts ortiz
Moved on = jumped to 147, beat the #3 welter, became the #3 welter.
He would be ****** to be looking at anyone else other than Pac/May.
A rematch is fine, I got no problem with that.
But chino needs to go to 147, and he needs to fit in.
By fit in, I don't mean take short money, or anything like that.
I just mean that he needs to fit in with the WBC champ's schedule.
Let's go..... if chino comes to 147, then he gets some too

I agree that the rematch should happen at 147.
But Maidana shouldn't have to fight anyone to get to Ortiz.
If Ortiz gets a bigger name (Cotto/Mayweather/Pac) Than i have no problem with that.
If He's forced to fight his mando that's cool to.
But if he fights Paulie or some other lesser known fighter over Maidana that won't look good.

If Vic did learn from that fight, then what tools will Maidana use to stop Vic from knocking him down multiple times and beating him up in the rematch?
Maidana was getting abused in that fight, and would have been KTFO by anyone else that night.
He got KD 3x vs a green Ortiz at 140, what options will Maidana have after the 4-5 KD in a rematch, Vic will obviously improve his option taking next time out?

No chino gets that fight because of what happened last time out, he's likely not even ranked at welter.
Yup other than Pac/May/mando, chino is top of the list as far as I'm concerned.
