By the way who is your preference for Canelo this year? I actually want to know your preference because anyone who's a fan of a boxer usually has a preference or a hopeful opponent for their favorite boxer to fight.

Inoue easily from 2023 and on even including the wretched Ye Joon "eff you Goodman go to heII" Kim fall out.

Resumes span the entirety of one's career
I want Nelo vs Biv rematch
Not sure if Biv and Beter are going through with their redo
Will prob get Benny vs Morrell winner (sans rematch clause. They seem to put dampers on other fights happening)
Other than those names, Bud may have to do
I'm tired of The "Monster" getting props for something other fighters gets lambasted for.

So you actually think winner of Benny/Morrell could occur sans rematch clause, but do you think the winner of Benny vs Morrell is coming back down to 168, or do you think Canelo's gonna go up to 175? Frankly I have a sad feeling neither would ever happen anymore this year or next year or any year. Of course I'd want them to happen, but at this point I am fully expecting a let down like vs William Scull to be "re-undisputed" for Cinco de Mayo followed by a bloated-Crawford for Mexican Independance Day for a "undisputed Canelo vs former two division undisputed Crawford" drama. I guess Crawford is better than Eubank Jr (not saying much) but he is not very high in my list of potential Canelo opponents, despite what Tim Bradley and others are smoking to say to argue age 37 turning 38 years old 168 lbs Bud is gonna KO Canelo, after looking very average against 154 Madrimov. Honestly I'd rather see Canelo fight Pacheco, Mbilli or even Iglesias more than Bud or Scull...even though they are likely to lose at least they could be potential futures of 168 unlike bloated and aged Crawford or Scull/Shishkin. Although I don't mind losses on fighters, can't deny Munguia royally hurt his potential to be considered the future of 168 with a loss to pillow fist Surace and Berlanga has done crap so far outside KO enough unranked cans to get the Canelo payday.
My preference for Canelo this year: Bivol regardless of whether he wins or loses against Beter rematch > winner of Benny/Morrell > loser of Benny/Morrell > Pacheco/Mbilli/Iglesias >>> bloated Crawford circus fight/Scull "undisputed" fight. I fear the right two are move likely than the guys on the left. By the way Beterbiev has never been mentioned by Canelo and I don't think it ever happens. Too big and strong for Canelo.BoxerFreddy likes this.

Do you think so? A Japanese man vs. a Korean will sell in Asian boxing. An ATG will squash a novice 999 times out of a 1,000, but upsets can happen.

Serious question, what is the last fight involving Canelo that you, as a huge fan of him, was legit excited for and the best realistic opponent you wanted for Canelo when it happened? Also, what is your opinion for a Canelo vs Scull which actually doesn't seem too farfetched of an idea if the rumors that he got contacted are true?

The last time I was thrilled with a Nelo opp was Biv
While I am no doubt a huge Nelo fan, I am critical.
Most fan bots are unable to.
They just throw around accusations and project their emotions onto others.
Was not thrilled with GGG 3 and beyond
Won't be thrilled with a possible fight with Bud.
IMHO, Nelo has fought everyone he needs to.
He retires right now( he's getting up there. Fighting since he was 15), he's a 1st ballot unanimous HOFer.
Not many fighters can say that.
No telling who has a rematch clause and when it's to happen and if a fighter is willing to fight a top level guy while waiting.
You see how you lined up the best possible opps for Nelo
Now do that for every fighter
See who will live up to those lofty expectations
