Benavidez hasn't stopped anyone at 175, and the only person who stopped Smith was Beterbiev. Benavidez wins a decision, probably by 3-4 rounds, unless Smith catches him with a big lucky punch. Smith DOES have a one shot stop at 175, unlike Benavidez, who isn't even Mexican. He was born in Phoenix,...SouthpawRight likes this.

Respectfully disagree. He got an email belt from the real champ, who already stopped him, and then his only defense has come vs a guy who lost to the real champ twice in a row. There's only one champion in the heavyweight division, and that's Usyk. IBF has terrible rules and the worst rankings of...BustedKnuckles likes this.

Norman is fighting Jin Sasaki next I think. Barrios should probably just get it over with. I think he'll make more losing to Boots than Norman. Or he could just duck as long as possible and try to fight mandatories, since Devin Haney is in #1, so however the Haney/Garcia/Ramirez/Romero stuff shakes...STREET CLEANER likes this.

Unlike the guys on Kambosos' resume, they're still competing. Way to try to move the goalposts. This is no doubt why you got banned last time and had to make a new account.
And you don't even have the intellectual honesty to answer the questions being asked of you. Who are the 3 guys...Dorrian_Grey likes this.

Who are the signature wins on Kambosos' resume? Do you even know any of the contenders at 140? What's the standard of comparison here? Kambosos had a lucky win vs Teo. What other names are there? Is Maxi Hughes supposed to be some great signature win? I think he's the only guy who's actually even...

I'd have rather seen some new blood, personally. I give zero credence to Dubois and his low blows. The only reason that narrative exists is haters and people who don't know that the low blow line is defined by the navel, not the belt. Dubois lost every second of that fight that he wasn't punching...

People who have never, and will never, set foot in a ring, want to second guess and rush him. He said he wants to try for undisputed. Why is that such a bad thing? The top guys at 154 aren't ancient. They will still be there next year when he moves up. He just fought his first champion. He has...Oregonian likes this.

Congratulations.
Glad to see that Themistode wasn't even mentioned. That guy is one of the worst writers I've even seen, and I used to teach intro philosophy at CU Boulder...

Unfortunately, it seems to happen with some regularity. Sometimes it makes some sense, like De La Hoya turning down Murtazaliev after Ortiz fought Bohachuk and Madrimov back to back, and earned a shot at Fundora for two belts. Other times it's like Bozy turning down Bud apparently without even consulting...

Agree with what you've been saying here. People like to quote the completely sourceless "sporty salaries" as evidence for Norman only making 150K vs Cuevas. But that site actually said he made a 250K guaranteed and estimated his total earnings at 650K. So if we're going to trust them, that's...steeve steel likes this.

Well, he needs to show it then. Because I haven't seen him call the bluff even once, let alone twice. Meanwhile, Janibek has had much more concrete evidence that Adames is ducking. I honestly don't blame Adames though. He may legit think that he's not seen a contract, because PBC declined it on...Mr. Abylay likes this.

I just said something very similar. I've been critical of Boots in the past for his resume and his dad's propensity for avoiding smoke on his behalf. But I also thought that seeking unifications was the right move, rather than being just another contender at 154. He's young, despite being 9 years...mgame likes this.

What's your source? Janibek also claims to have sent a contract to Adames in September last year.

This whole "I'm not waiting on those guys" and "I'm having trouble making weight" is just negotiating tactics. He was talking about being set on going undisputed in 4 divisions just a few months ago, and he's using a nutritionist now, and looked strong and fine in this fight. Not...MulaKO likes this.

Fundora is the WBO champ. Crawford would only get it if Fundora vacates instead of fighting Bud, who is reported to have to vacate his interim belt to fight Canelo. Bud is the WBA champ, and Yoenis Tellez is his interim champ. Zayas is the next up for Fundora, and the winner of that fight may be...Dorrian_Grey likes this.

I personally would still prefer him to make some offers to Barrios and Norman. He's established himself as THE man to beat at 147. Make them go on record trying to be the best or be the ducks. He's got momentum now, and if they want to build him into a bonafide star, they need to invest in making...Dorrian_Grey

I don't think he's got any business at 122. His former rivals are at 118. Honestly it's probably time to hang them up.DFM likes this.

I don't like his chances either. I just like them more than anyone else left in the division....

Good for him. Stepped up the competition, fought a titlist for the first time in his career, and made it look easy. Hope he can get Barrios and Norman in the ring after Giyasov, and then see if he can make waves at 154. Stanionis doesn't have one punch KO power, but he can crack and Boots took the...NoAgendaBoxing likes this.
