The first fighter to win a lightweight title (WBA and WBO) and a super- middleweight title (WBC) was Dingaan Thobela.

Stopped reading when I read “I suspect bootsy could do some things to throw Oscar off”. Breadman is so ridiculous with his bootsy reverence it’s insane. Oscar is one of the best EVER at 147. To even consider bootsy could do anything to Oscar is HILARIOUS. Bootsy got embarrassed by a KAREN. Bread man should coach volleyball or something

        Lol.

Oscar was way better than Karen, I know that much.

As for Harry Greb, we don’t have any surviving film of his fights but his resume speaks for itself. He belongs in the discussion for GOAT but most casuals have no idea who he is. So it’s good that historians are going back and publicizing some of the old timers like him.

So it’s ridiculous to think that Boots could do things that would throw Oscar off? So Oscar was so good that it would without a doubt be completely one sided? Mind you Oscar was 10-3 at welterweight, had 2 fights that could’ve gone the other way against Whitaker and Quartey. Also, an ancient Chavez and oba carr both did things that threw Oscar off. Let’s not act like Oscar was on par with a peak Roy jones who could barely be touched, Oscar had vulnerabilities.

As of right now, I would not be putting Oscar's name in the same sentence with Boots Ennis. Sure, Oscar lost some close fights, but he fought EVERYONE who was anyone. Nobody can ever say that Oscar ducked people. As for Boots, we all know the story and the excuses.

All the fighters you mentioned were proven unlike the email champ Bootsy

That’s not relevant to the point being discussed. The point is whether or not it’s reasonable to state that Boots has a style that could throw Oscar off at times. Nobody said he’d beat him, merely stated he could throw him off. Was Oscar some dominant god at 147 to the point that we must state he’d win every minute of every round? And for the record oba carr never won a world title and you could certainly say he threw Oscar off during their fight before Oscar stopped him.

Oba Carr had a better resume, way better than booty before fighting Oscar so he had some experience whereas booty is trash and his best wins are a Karen and midget lipnets.

Oscar would clown that bum. Then again booty would of probably ducked him

Bread man was insinuating that bootsy could beat Oscar. “I would need to see boots do those things vs elite competition before I say he could beat an ATG”. That statement is beyond ridiculous and is a JOKE. As far as the Whittaker fight it was very close and I had de le Hoya winning it. The quartey fight I thought bazooka won that but Oscar dug deep and that last round was HUGE. The Mosely and Tito fights are self explanatory, Oscar was robbed he won those fights clearly and I hate saying that cause Tito is my all time favourite fighter. So objectively I rate his WW 12-1. Bootsy ennis doesn’t belong in the same sentence as Tito Mosley Whittaker or quartey unless it’s pointing out the difference in how much better the latter 4”s resumes are in terms of quality. Prime Oscar would have beat bootsy 12-0/10-2 possibly KO type of fight. If Oscar is landing the shots Karen did? Good night bootsy
