Soon as my hero Roy's chin was tested he folded. Oscar's chin was granite without question.

Oscar's resume murders Roy's & did at every stage.

Oscar's fundamentals = twenty billion times better than Roy's.

Oscar's offensive skills were elite. Of course, Roy's were at times otherworldly.

Highlight reels do not a fighter make, and always remember: chin, guts, heart, spite & mental violence all count. Roy can't live with Oscar on any of these metrics.

P4P, as in a same size prime RJJ vs a same size prime ODLH is an absolute pick'em.

      2. That’s a hell of an objective perspective to rate him 12-1 at welterweight. There’s no way he beat Mosley at 147. 154, yes, not their first fight.
Ok even if you the win vs Mosley that’s a legitimate 11-2. He’s an ATG. Look at ODLH career at 27 compared to bootsy. Figure it out lol

You and bumman should go and comfort each other cause this is ridiculous.

Not a legit 11-2 because he’s legit 10-3 and really could be 8-5. Again, nobody said boots would beat him, it’s the comment that he could throw Oscar off. Quite feasible that he could, because multiple fighters did.

You didn’t state any facts. It’s literally a mythical/ hypothetical situation, so you can’t take a factual stance on it. Dummy. Like I said , stick to groping mens packages. You’re probably better at that than boxing.

Ya but bootsy isn’t of the caliber of fighters that gave de le Hoya trouble

It’s funny, I know was responding to a question from a boxing fan. But c’mon, let’s keep it real! Tank ducking Loma until he’s obviously old is worse than the Benavidez duck! Even more recently Boots ducking Ortiz. Ok , they’re not in the same division anymore but let’s not act like they haven’t been tied together for a potential super fight for years! And then the most obvious one with Mayweather waiting until Marquez damn near murdered Pacquiao before he finally grew a pair and fought him, acting like the Real boxing fans would give him credit for that boring win. By the way, Canelo is still young enough and fresh enough despite his 500 plus career boxing rounds that I can bet that he will fight Benavidez before he retires. But let me guess, if he fights him even at 175 after Beterbiev destroys him, he won’t get the same credit Mayweather did! lol hilarious

And how do you know he isn’t of their caliber if you haven’t yet seen him in the ring with elite fighters yet to see how he’d perform? And that was what breads comment said. He’d have to see him in with elite opponents , he picked Oscar but said boots could do things that would throw Oscar off. We’ve seen Oscar thrown off by several boxers all throughout his career and across multiple weight classes. I’d bet if he said that he saw things that Vergil Ortiz could do that might throw Oscar off, you wouldn’t have said a word.

Too many people with too few brain cells in here. Please can someone explain exactly how Ennis has got a reputation as being a ducker?

On what planet does Ortiz moving up as he can’t play the weight bully role anymore make Ennis the ducker? Ortiz’s team wanted the fight at 154. Ennis said he wasn’t done at 147. Ortiz’s team were asking for the fight. If they want it that bad come back to 147 and do it. On what universe does someone demanding a world champion move up and face them at a higher weight that is advantageous to them make the champion the ducker. It’s an absolutely mental narrative and can’t believe it’s taken hold.

Stuff like this is essentially propaganda pushed by half baked ‘journalists’ on well known sites that have sponsorship by PBC who are still p1ssed that Ennis signed with matchroom. It’s pathetic but even more pathetic are the clueless fans who buy these false narratives and actually believe them.

And as for Norman, what exactly does he bring to the table in terms of ppv numbers to warrant demanding a higher fee? as the article explains, managers,
promoters know what a fight is worth / will generate and offer a purse accordingly. But again, the fighter isn’t remotely involved in these negotiations so how exactly does that make Ennis the ducker.

As for all the comment on the Ennis vs Oscar bit, I think everyone is taking it all a bit too literally. I read it purely as saying when Ennis fights an elite we’ll get an idea if he’d be competitive with Oscar as he had the potential to be that good. Let’s see how many of the other champions at 147 are keen to fight Karen and make a statement. I doubt it.
