Who cares who the mandatory challenger is. Teo will continue running his mouth calling all the big names and then end up fighting a nobody because he will price himself out of any meaningful fights anyway. Looking at that list of 4 suspects, probably Catterall or Ramirez will be able to secure half...

I have been following boxing for 55 years. You say you "would like to see Ennis challenge himself more" but in the previous post you say "at the higher weights - they get paid so much so they can afford to avoid 'risky' fights". So, in summary, what you are saying is - Ennis is not...

These sound like excuses that will keep Boots on the shelf forever with no meaningful fights on his resume....

Those who think Boots is the most avoided fighter in the sport should ask a question. Why is Bam fighting every legend and everyone is willing to fight Bam ?...

I agree. If Fury can concentrate for 12 rounds instead of clowning around and celebrating "how easy it is" he can win this one. He definitely has the tools to beat Usyk - he showed it in the first fight. Of course, easier said than done because Usyk is relentless and has that incredible engine...

Not to mention lack of intelligence to understand what he has to offer to anyone and what he is demanding in return....

Well the problem is that he hasn't beaten anyone in the top 10 in any weight division. He has nothing to offer to anyone at 154 other than trouble. Nobody is avoiding Inoue, Usyk or Crawford even though they are extremely good - top 3 p4p. Everybody wants to fight them to make big money and be famous....Knuckle sandwich likes this.

I am not sure the fight was that much better than the previous one. Foster did more than he did in the first fight, he was not running backwards and was engaging a lot more standing his ground and fighting. Having said that, I will not be in a huge hurry to watch either of these two guys again any...remmy0112 wrecksracer like this.

Something like that might work. These champions need to be publicly embarrassed for avoiding him. But on the other hand he says:
“I've been chasing everybody. I've been chasing Terence Crawford, Errol Spence Jnr, Keith Thurman – I've been chasing all of these guys. Ask Crawford....

I think you have hit the nail on the head. Physically he is talented and he looks the goods, even though he hasn't fought anybody yet to prove it. If he fought Ortiz I even think he would beat him, maybe even stop him. He would probably give Bud the most competitive fight of anyone out there. He looks...BlackRobb likes this.

If they make the fight with Ennis and Ortiz at 154, that will be something worth watching. As for the other paper champions who refuse to engage unless they are paid retirement money, the less said, the better.

Not a bad list. We can argue about individual placements and merit of each fighter but it is a pretty good top 10. Almost everybody agrees on the top 2 (because they are really scary) and then after that they have their own favorite fighters.

“I feel like all of us champions have the same mentality – we all want to fight the best. We all want to bring these big fights to the fans, and that’s more than likely to happen.”
If that is the case, why do all of you keep fighting nobodies? Where are the big fights? GTFOH.

I remember watching Foreman's fight with Moorer thinking "what is Moorer doing by standing in front of him and fighting big George, does he not know what is going to happen" and then suddenly BOOM, George landed his big right hand ( seemingly with ease) and it was "good night Irene&q...Last edited by BrankoB; 10-30-2024, 05:30 PM.

Bakole, Kabayel, Zhang, Parker - any one of these guys would be great. We need a real fight, not a rematch with Joshua.pnut901 likes this.

One think that I really appreciated about Lennox was that he avenged his KO losses - he was not scared to fight McCall and Rahman again, came prepared the second time and won convincingly. He also knew when to retire. He avoided Vitali for a while and when he finally met him in the ring he knew he had...

I am glad to hear that others think and feel the same way. I was starting to think that I was in the minority. I think it was the extraordinary hype that kind of colored it all for me - "the greatest amateur of all time" with 396 wins and 1 loss (avenged twice), two gold medals, kind of set...

In those days, that was a special world wide event - not just for a small number of boxing fans but for the general public as well. Kids at school talked about it.ubaid likes this.

I have never criticised Floyd. He was a great fighter by any kind of measure you wish to apply. His resume and his accomplishments are second to none....
