On what planet does Ortiz moving up as he can’t play the weight bully role anymore make Ennis the ducker? Ortiz’s team wanted the fight at 154. Ennis said he wasn’t done at 147. Ortiz’s team were asking for the fight. If they want it that bad come back to 147 and do it. On what universe does someone demanding a world champion move up and face them at a higher weight that is advantageous to them make the champion the ducker. It’s an absolutely mental narrative and can’t believe it’s taken hold.

Stuff like this is essentially propaganda pushed by half baked ‘journalists’ on well known sites that have sponsorship by PBC who are still p1ssed that Ennis signed with matchroom. It’s pathetic but even more pathetic are the clueless fans who buy these false narratives and actually believe them.

And as for Norman, what exactly does he bring to the table in terms of ppv numbers to warrant demanding a higher fee? as the article explains, managers,
promoters know what a fight is worth / will generate and offer a purse accordingly. But again, the fighter isn’t remotely involved in these negotiations so how exactly does that make Ennis the ducker.

As for all the comment on the Ennis vs Oscar bit, I think everyone is taking it all a bit too literally. I read it purely as saying when Ennis fights an elite we’ll get an idea if he’d be competitive with Oscar as he had the potential to be that good. Let’s see how many of the other champions at 147 are keen to fight Karen and make a statement. I doubt it.
Well first of all Ortiz didn’t ask for the fight, Turki wanted it and offered Boots his biggest payday of his life to fight him. Second of all, don’t get frustrated with the fans that heard him day after his last fight he wanted all the smoke at 154 cuz he was ready! His Promoter Hearn had some damage control to do after that one. So there you go

Did Boots say after his last fight that he would be moving up ???
        His words not mine
Don’t look any further than that comment, there’s no need
When Ortiz accepted he went back on his word and all of a sudden decided that he would unify at 147
        Contradicting I’d say

Oscar is one of the best EVER at 147. To even consider bootsy could do anything to Oscar is HILARIOUS. Bootsy got embarrassed by a KAREN. Bread man should coach volleyball or something

You know who embarrassed Oscar, some German dude named Felix Sturm. Remember him?

Truer words have never been spoken.

Only thing I can add is, 8 months ago I had never heard of Norman, yet now he is a guy Boots is ducking.

Yup , that was the fight of his life and never got rewarded with a rematch
The German won that fight imo

He’d have to see him in with elite opponents , he picked Oscar but said boots could do things that would throw Oscar off. We’ve seen Oscar thrown off by several boxers all throughout his career and across multiple weight classes. I’d bet if he said that he saw things that Vergil Ortiz could do that might throw Oscar off, you wouldn’t have said a word.
I know because he’s 27 and couldn’t do those things breadman was talking about to Karen chudzian. It’s asinine to insinuate he could be effective against an ATG. The guy is all hype. No elite talent great fighter take till the age of 27 to take a meaningful fight. Vergil has been in with elite fighters and is willing to fight the best. I don’t think he could do much to ODLH but he 25 and taking the fights to prove that maybe he can be a great bootsy is trying to set up a fight with Mario barrios. There’s levels to this and boots is on the bottom. Keep drinking your kool aid

Embarrassed? I had the fight scored 115-113 sturm and it was at MW. Oscar was terrible at MW and sturms a good fighter he was undefeated at the time he fought Oscar.
